Default Strongest Fragrance You Ever Smelled?

What a cologne that honestly can kill flowers because of its intensity. It doesn't have to be good smelling or foul smelling just something very very loud and strong.

Interlude is amazing. It is not an everyday wear, and an intense experience. The power of the incense and patchouli is really out of this world. There is a clear and intense oregano that is not to everyone's liking. Also lasts about a day on me.

You know, I hate minimizing someone by their age, right? I would say that a 20 year old that might be a bit Alt or edgy could pull it off; it is not a casual, happy, light fragrance. Find a small decant or sample and see for yourself. You asked for strong, it is strong.

To me, Tom Ford Tuscan Leather is also very intense, and has serious longevity and siliage. Oud fragrances are also pungent and powerful.

When I was 20, it was in the and hey day of Kouros; and I rocked that (and that, in its own way, is a beast).

Two thumbs up from me, it's great! Very intense incense + oregano in the drydown. Not for the weak, that's for sure.

Just speaking for myself - Original Aramis , very strong but not in a good way.

    Interlude Man is indeed strong.

My clothes still smelled of it even after washing. This never happens.

Clothes have no scent (well other than softener) after a wash.

But the most powerful one is Complex (original formula - not the watered down one now).

    Industrial strength is an understatement.

Black Afgano has got to be near or at the top of the list. Powerful, and horrible, IMO.

    2) Giorgio for Men vintage/V.I.P. for Men (Giorgio Beverly Hills)

    4) Les Nombres d'Or Vetyver (Mona di Orio) - tie
    4) Lalfeorosa (O'driů) - tie

    6) Anat Fritz Original Formula and Classical (Anat Fritz)

Norma Kamali Incense, Black Afgano, Joop Homme, Dark Aoud, Acqua di Sale, Hypnotic Poison, Alien, Allure, Aromatics Elixir Parfum, Opium, vintage Drakkar Noir etc etc, all fragrances with an enormous projection and lingering for hours in the air.

I wonder if I got a defective perfume. My polo modern reserve can fill the whole room like I spray 20 times on myself. But after 10 mins, I hardly can smell it on my skin.

I am sure is not fake.... anyone have experience like mine?

outside of the Oud-Arena, I'd say its Tom Ford Arabian Wood.

    That stuff is a beast.

Sorry, i disgree, as will many others...Arabian Wood is quite lame & cannot be compared to many grt powerhitters already mentioned - like NK Incense, Interlude, Black Afgano, few Slumberhouses etc.

But my vote will go to Juniper Ridge's Caruthers Canyon or Siskiyou - both are obscenely strong & pungent. To be safe you need to wear a dab (or if you are crazy 2 dabs) 2-3 hours before venturing out - it's that strong (one of them is sticky too, don't recall which though). They don't project as much as Interlude, but if you wear it & someone hugs you immediately, they are bound to pull off you.

I fully agree with hedonist, Complex is just out there. Concentrated tannery. Unwearable, but fun to smell.

Has it been watered down? sad, the only positive thing about it was the sheer power.

    Interlude Man
    Dior Oud Ispahan
    Robert Piguet Oud
    Amouage Opus V
    Puredistance M

However, I don't recommend any for a 20 year old without you really trying them out.

    Possibly:
    1 Million
    Nautica Voyage
    Mancera Cedrat Boise
Almost everything from Bond No. 9 lasts a long time.

Yes I smelled it at a boutique that recently got their stock from Boadicea directly.
I also smelled the initial formulation around the same time.

Serge Lutens- Amber Sultan. Did you ever see the shower scene in 'Silkwood'? That's what it takes to remove that stuff. But it's a good ride, just intense and possibly a little too long.

I'm pretty sure Giorgio (the women's one from the 80s) was the biggest, strongest tidal wave of a perfume I've ever encountered. And I've tried Interlude Man.

I came in here to say something else, but your mention of Giorgio reminded me that Paco Rabanne La Nuit has a lot of giddy-up of the "French Whorehouse" persuasion.

What I originally was thinking of as a reply is Black Aoud.

I'm bemused at all the votes for Black Afgano. I don't find it to project much at all, but it's possible I am partially anosmic to some of the aromachemicals it's packed with (Iso E Super and Norlimbanol if I'm not mistaken).

Behemoth cut a slice of pineapple, salted it, peppered it, ate it, and then tossed off a second glass of alcohol so dashingly that everyone applauded.

So far, Caron's Yatagan is the first fragrance that comes to my mind when thinking of "strong" fragrances. The closest to a drunk dog's breath I have ever smelled.

So true! I forgot about this. Amirage was close behind. Since I don't dig the bombastic florals, I avoid these like the plague. These are the the fragrances that gave perfume a bad name in the 80's, when SA's would attack you at the doorway of Bloomingdales without regard for your personal scent or nasal passage preference. This stuff hangs in the air long after you're gone like a toxic cloud.
