Default Room Scent of the Day - January 2014

A new month, and a new year! What is your home fragrance today?

I'm still burning Nest Bond Street Sandalwood and Sage.

I'm melting wax in the fragrance of Rustic Woods, which smells almost identical to Burberry London for Men.

Bought/received four new candles, lately, so I'm burning a lot!
This morning was Muji Christmas tree (pine, simple but very realistic); now I'm burning a bit of spicy Esteban Jathikai.

I'm melting some Dayna Decker Polianthes. The jar is cracked so I put a little of the wax into a tart burner in my bedroom. It's really strong - almost too strong. I have the window open in there and the door closed but I can still smell it everywhere. The neighbors can probably smell it too. Polianthes' notes are midnight tuberose, cashmere woods, vanilla musk, peony, dianthus and vetiver.

Today, with the winter weather closing in, it was a Feu de Bois (by Diptyque) kind of day.

I love lavender candles. Works great with a hot bath and the great smell of lavender.

This morning I am burning an Aquiesse Winter Currant candle. It is really a holiday candle, but it is almost finished, so I'm carrying the holiday spirit on for a little longer I guess.

Totally disappointed while burning Papier D'Armenie- La Bougie! Zero projection, and the smell of the paper strips is so much better (Francis Kurkdjian has worked on this candle, the box states... ).

Interesting, iodine - thanks for the info.
I almost bought one as I like the Papiers that FK did for them, especially the rose one.

Thank you so much for the warning!

Burning AG Noel again. It works well with bright, sunny weather we're enjoying.

Once again, my wife has chosen "Alger" by ADV to scent the house on this cold January day.

This morning I am burning an inexpensive TJMaxx find that I have enjoyed very much. It is a candle called Russian Winter Festival, unsure of the brand. I used it as a holiday candle, so it is just about finished up.

I worked for them for years and I love their products! And that is where we burned this candle, in the spa!

I had the local Aveda salon replicate the Shampure scent into a personal fragrance spray. They give me a free fragrance spray every year for my birthday.

Pine fest here at iodine's! First Diptyque Sapin Doré- almost finished, so I tend to spare it!- then Christmas by Muji.

Last night I gave a second try to Papier D'Armenie: at least two full hours of burning- very evenly, this must be said- the smell is so thin and doesn't diffuse... too bad!

Scored a bunch of interesting-looking candles on clearance at Marshall's today and I'm trying out Aquiesse Andean Cherimoya first. Description from Neiman Marcus: "A crisp melange of herbaceous green leaf, clean musk, and Quechuan cherimoya fruits."
