Default Room Scent of the Day - January 2014

A new month, and a new year! What is your home fragrance today?

I'm still burning Nest Bond Street Sandalwood and Sage.

Bought/received four new candles, lately, so I'm burning a lot!
This morning was Muji Christmas tree (pine, simple but very realistic); now I'm burning a bit of spicy Esteban Jathikai.

I'm melting some Dayna Decker Polianthes. The jar is cracked so I put a little of the wax into a tart burner in my bedroom. It's really strong - almost too strong. I have the window open in there and the door closed but I can still smell it everywhere. The neighbors can probably smell it too. Polianthes' notes are midnight tuberose, cashmere woods, vanilla musk, peony, dianthus and vetiver.

Today, with the winter weather closing in, it was a Feu de Bois (by Diptyque) kind of day.

Totally disappointed while burning Papier D'Armenie- La Bougie! Zero projection, and the smell of the paper strips is so much better (Francis Kurkdjian has worked on this candle, the box states... ).

Thank you so much for the warning!

Burning AG Noel again. It works well with bright, sunny weather we're enjoying.

I had the local Aveda salon replicate the Shampure scent into a personal fragrance spray. They give me a free fragrance spray every year for my birthday.

Pine fest here at iodine's! First Diptyque Sapin DorÚ- almost finished, so I tend to spare it!- then Christmas by Muji.

Last night I gave a second try to Papier D'Armenie: at least two full hours of burning- very evenly, this must be said- the smell is so thin and doesn't diffuse... too bad!

Socalwoman, we did some similar shopping. Over the last month, I stocked up on several lines at TJMaxx, and Aquiesse was one of them!

Tonight I am burning Aquiesse Alpine Meadow. Notes per the box are dewy grass, wild fruits, alpine florals, mountain pepper, balsam fir and light musk. Very nice, although the throw is moderate (which I tend to like).

Aquiesse Andean Cherimoya was a winner! I'll have to keep my eye out for more from this line.

I put one called from Woodwick called Cherry Jubilee on the warmer in my bedroom today and I can smell it everywhere! Sweet, but not cloying.
