Default Montale Middle East new releases and thoughts

So i went today to initially buy Aoud Heritage, but i ended up trying most of the new releases of the "other" middle eastern Montale.

Here's what i tried from the new releases :

    - Aoud Mayyas: Orange and cedar.

    - Aoud Samarkand : Lemon, Musk and Geranium.

    - Aoud & Pine : Red apple, pepper, rose, neroli, lily of the valley, pine, aoud, amber, vetiver, musk

    - Mr Aoud

    - Aoud Legacy
    : Citron, Nutmeg, Saffron.

    - Aoud Heritage : Musk, Ambergris, Vanilla

    - Aoud Fever : Mandarin Orange, Jasmine, Amber, Vanilla

Please note that the notes description are not my own nose's perception, but the actual notes of the scent, as i asked the SA to show me the notes.

As far as i know, they are middle east exclusives.

They are made by this Montale : http://www.montale-international.com

Unfortunately, nothing on that website works !

No problem lpp, yes Smarkand is just what i felt was missing from my rotation (maybe that's why i favorited it). But regardless, it does smell wonderful.

Man I wish I could get my hands on some of these. Would be nice to know someone over there that could buy them and ship them to the states.

Thanks tdwctdwc for the info and the great pics. Now aside from Aoud Heritage, I have Aoud Samarkand and Aoud Mayyas to look forward to in the future. They sound great.

Come to think of it, now I understand the strange e-mail message I got from The Paris Gallery in Dubai when I had inquired about the "new Montales" in green bottles. They told me it was called "Summerkind & Heritage" but hadn't launched yet in their shop. Obviously I know now 'Summerkind" was meant to be "Samarkand" and they were two separate scents not one, both in green bottles.

That's right. Both Aoud Heritage and Aoud Samarkand come in a green bottle (and green box).

Great news for Montale fans. Personally, i'm done with them. I'll never buy another Montale perfume again.

I've stocked up on my favorite, Aoud Musk. And its a wrap!

My exact thoughts down to the Aoud Musk.

All of those frags are basically counterfeit right? Pretty obvious that all of those are made in the middle east and not by the original Montale company.

Mmm, well i don't know the details about the entire Montale split story, but when i asked the SA, she said they get shipped from Paris.

Also, both of my bottles (Aoud Legacy and Aoud Samarkand) have "Made in France" engraved on the bottle, with superb longevity and projection.

Obviously, the dude who is in charge of the "middle eastern exclusive" Montale is manufacturing all those releases in Paris.

Who knows. There are some that will claim they know exactly whats going on, and all i can say is i don't really care anymore. Its all super shady at this point. Montale Paris has watered down and reformulated basically everything. I'm definitely not interesting in funding this mockery of a perfume house!

110$ . And the box came with that black little travel bag and everything. Same exact packaging as my old Black Aoud, with even better longevity and projection actually.

Mohsen at Universal Perfumes and Cosmetics will special order it for you if you make a request to him via e-mail.

Also perfumesuae.com is supposedly planning to start shipping to the USA some time in 2014. They carry many of the exclusives.

What troubled me about this vendor were two things: one, the length of time it would take to get here (she had said she only mails on certain days because she had to have someone drive her to the post office) second, in the list
of products offered, some of the names listed were not correct or at least I had never heard of them so I was a bit leery. So, no, I have no personal experience dealing with this vendor.

I have Kabul Aoud which is Coffee + Iris + Incense.
I want Aoud and PIne and Meloki and be done with Montale for good
I think this division makes better Montales in comparison to the shit in the Durrani Montales. I think Durranis is more focused on his Manceras now.

Did you ever get any additional info on Brown Aoud and Rose Leather which you first reported and shared pictures of a while back?
