    I voted for Chergui because it's a classic niche scent. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Thumbs up Re: The best niche is...? (Round 1)

    diptyque Volutes for me
Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

My thoughts exactly. If anything, we need a sticky to explain that there is no such thing as a "best." Best is the one you enjoy the most.

I have Chergui and it's a bit overrated. I think some people have hinted at a possibly reformulation so even niche fragrances aren't immune to such changes. My bottle is supposedly produced in 2013 so perhaps an older bottle with a previous formulation was more impressive. Right now Chergui is still nice but nothing amazing.

I have them all. They have their pro & con.

Volutes is the most light & versatile.

Chergui & B2B are more sweet & complex.

I find Back to Black horrible. I like Chergui best, although I agree on Ronin about the fact it is overrated.
