    Default Is Dunhill Edition Reissued??

This is my old time favorite scent that I would really love to own, but I was under the impression it was no longer made. However, I see it is now available on Fragrancenet and its quite cheap, too. Was there a reissue? reformulation maybe? If so, how is it comparing to the vintage from the 80s? I used it in high school in late nineties and remember it as quite a powerhouse.

It has been reformulated and not for the better unfortunately. It also has been watered down compared to the original eighties release and lost a lot of what made it great.

I agree with Jack. It's sad. You can still find vintage bottles if you look around though..

I still have about 10ml of the original that I picked up from a Dunhill concession in Harvey Nichols a long while ago. Dunhill seem to cater to the lowest common denominator nowadays as far as fragrances go, so I'm guessing the re-issue is gonna be a sham.

Having read the above, glad I have a full bottle of the original release.

Oh well, this seems to be the way. All good things these days require some $$ spending (

100 dollars, frankly does not seem like a great deal of money for a full bottle of a favorite fragrance. Of course, it is far more than the original release ,but is that the real amount we should use as our comparison? With most, non-discounted 100ml designer fragrances going for 80 dollars, an extra twenty dollars for something you love really is not that bad. Or, perhaps I am missing the point?

You're right. Everything is relative and is a matter of perspective.
