    Default Is my Montale Lights?

I've just received my first Montale purchase and it feels extremely light to me. The juice sloshes about as though it were half empty. I know it's an aluminum can and so will feel lighter than a similar glass bottle, but can you Montale regulars tell me, were you shocked at how light your can was the first time you got one? I'm tempted to pour out all the juice into a glass measure to determine whether it was full.

Montale fragrances are notoriously light in weight. My Fragonard and Comptoir Sud Pacifique fragrances in aluminum can are equally light.

    Yes they feel very lightweight.

Somehow I thought you were referring to the smell, indicating a further watering down of the Montales (I have heard several reports). But no, just the can. If you think, 100ml is about 1/4 pound.

Armani prive used to have similarly light bottles, but evidently people must have felt cheated because then they switched to solid glass.

At this point I've only used samples and decants of Montales. Just got a few Montale samples a boutique the other day.

I think that the O.P. is asking whether they are 'light' in the sense of not filled to capacity?
Do the containers have a larger capacity than the stated contents?

From what I know of Montale's, the containers are larger than 100mL. They can probably hold 15-20% more juice if completely filled.

I read a thread a few months ago about somebody who measured the juice because it wasn't filled tot the top and the bottle contained 100 ml + .
