I agree (except to me it smells more like overheated electrical wiring)! It's a stiflingly acrid note that does indeed seem to be in pretty much all designer men's scents.

    Aquatics
    Loud citrus, especially bergamot
    Metallics
    Lavender (sometimes but not always)
    Soapy florals: freesia, lilac etc

My aversions tend to be combinations of notes, rather than one particular note, though.

Plenty of things I appreciate, though, but wouldn't want anywhere near my skin...

@ cacio I googled jeux de peau and came up with a great review by Victoria at Bois de Jasmin. She likens the fragrance to toast and jam among other things. What's not to like about toast and jam? So, jeux de peau is now on my radar of scents to at least sniff once or twice. Thanks for the recommendation.

Neroli( it tries to strangle me, seriously it just gets stronger and stronger on my skin)
    Jasmine
Vetiver(I can wear if its beaten down by other woods)
    Gardenia
    Honeysuckle
Tuberose can be a problem but if like vetiver beaten down I am okay
    Lily of the Valley

So generally big white/yellow flowers, and grass.

There's something with chlorine in it that reminds me of a dishwasher running with a certain (don't know which) detergent and also reminds me of the smell of semen. Uhm, not a fan.

I'm open to all but tread lightly when a tonka/vanilla base is involved.

Tonka, vanilla when done toooo extravagant ...me like these notes but when done sublimely subtlety in a well blended frag but not as a protagonist but as a deep in the background vocalist!!!

I agree with Horns, very scary! So glad I've never run into this combo.

    You all are reminding me of lots of objectionable notes;
    Datura
    Fruity (fake berries)
    Chemical aquatics
    Gardenia
    Fake tea
    Honey
Gosh, there are quite a few. I'm amazed my perfume collection is as large as it is.

Can't speak to the Fahrenheit, but Womanity affects people in different ways. To some, it is indeed briney, but to others, it's more salty. Although I can't say I'm a fan, it's far more palatable than the horde of A*Men flankers (and more imaginative, too)

Oud - maybe in tiny amounts
Some vetiver's - the nutty smelling ones aren't for me
    Truffles
    Tuberose
    Civet
Amber - I only enjoy it in small does
Orange - as in TdH and New York
Tea - Bulgari has done me in

    Cinnamon - always, the worst!
    Heliotrope - sometimes
    Lavender - sometimes
    Liquorice - always
    Anise - sometimes
Patchouli - in anything other than moderation

Generally anything overly sweet like chocolate or cocoa is the deal breaker for me.

    It depends on how they are blended, of course, and how they are combined with other notes, but in general, I dislike;

    --tobacco
    --civet
--anything that creates a "metallic" impression

Tuberose, jasmine, vetiver, fig, aquatic/calone/melon. I'm actively trying to get over all of these but the calone.

Sidenote- heavily indolic scents make strangely appropriate bathroom sprays.

    I detest
    - sweet fruit notes (apple, melon, pineapple etc)
    - sweet berry notes
    - white musks
    - sickly artificial vanillas that smell of cheap white chocolate.

    Feeling quite ill now.

I have come to really dislike grapefruit, which seems to be de rigueur for fresh fruity-florals.

Also anything that hints at a fruit salad composition: apple, mango, pineapple...

    My list:

    cucumber
    melon
    synthetic berry yuck
    violet (unless well balanced)
    lily (unless well balanced)
    clove (unless well hidden)
the horrible sweet vanilla/cocoa/chocolate combination that seems to be in loads of things these days (anybody want a 'hot cocoa' candle that's so sweet and pervasive that I can't even bear to take the lid off it?)

For the longest time, I didn't know why I never liked Dior Homme. Then one day, I was at L'Occitane store, and by chance, smelled their Lavender scent, and that almost make me throw up. I now know that I really don't like Lavender. The other 2 notes I don't like are amber and musk, too much of either just nauseate me.

    Here's my list of dislikes:

Gourmands in the Angel style: with caramel and chocolate notes (usually on a patchouli-base)

Fruit like berries, nectarines, strawberry in the fruity floral style

Almost all acquatics/marine notes, starting with L'Eau d'Issey. The once exception is Dior's Dune, which uses them as secondary notes but they are not the focus of the composition.

Fenugreek, curry, immortelle-- too much like an Indian restaurant's kitchen

Honey-- too sweet. In general don't like sweet fragrances

    Tuberose-- usually overpowering for me

Cucumber-- usually has a very phony, metallic aspect

    Civet
Lavender, in anything more than very low amounts.
Powder. PdN New York was all but unwearable for me, I still have no idea which note it was.
    Lemon unless tempered by something.
    Cumin
Carnation and other strong "flowery" notes that dominate the scent. Exceptions would be the rose notes in Windsor and Egoiste.
    Lemon verbena
