    I can't see the role of pollution- I don't think that the presence of pollutants in the air will prevent fragrant molecules to join the party!
    Also, I believe it's more low temperatures than fog that will slow down evaporation, so I guess it's winter weather more than the typical Milan conditions!

    If you're in an area do polluted that it affects projection, I think you need to worry about your health first.

    Agree - it was more the 'fog' aspect that I was thinking about.
