    Default Citrus & Incense

As a gigantic fan of both the above, I've been looking to sample perfumes that have combined both the above and retain the character of each.

My reference citrus is Eau d'Orange Verte
    My reference incense is Timbuktu

I have tried the CdG Incense series but don't remember them so vividly.
The Aedes de Venustas EdP with the green rhubarb note comes close, but isn't really about citrus.

    Any ideas?

L'Eau Froide by Serge Lutens is a good example.

When I think citrus + incense, the first thing that comes to mind is Chanel Bleu de Chanel

    Loewe 7 Natural
    is another good one.

Jubilation XXV , has an array of notes in composition but I can admit that i do get a pungent citrus note with all other accords including frankincense in the blend!!!

    Thanks for the replies!

Jubilation XXV does actually have a citric note but it moves one quickly to it's dried fruit and incense.

L'Eau Froide sounds like something i should try! Bleu de Chanel perhaps another shot.

Frankincense & Myrrh sounds right, must dig out my sample.

Do any of the new CdG Blue series fit into citrus+incense?

HdP 1828 & Etro Shaal Nur I will look up!

Nope...Blue Encens is awesome, but no citrus+incense.

A great one that is basically all about citrus+incense is Olivier Durbano Citrine!! It's awesome!! I only have a sample, but I will get a full bottle one of these days. I think it would be a great one for you to check out!!

Another possible interesting suggestion may be English Blazer- citrus opening, powerhouse-style leathery-incense-tobacco final note.

For something more classic, I'd suggest Czech & Speake Frankincense & Myrrh. If you're up for a modern take on this theme, there's nothing like Liquides Imaginaires Sancti

    Here's my report…

    CDG2Man
    Maria Candida Gentile Gershwin
    Eau De Tarocco

Some of Oliver Durbano's fragrances might work for you. They all have very bold incense notes in them mixed with other stuff. I would recommend:

Citrine - more citrus mixed with incense
Jade - green tea, mate, other green notes mixed with incense

    can't go wrong with these!

Sancti is awesome. Citrine isn't in the same league. As a side bar alfarom - I'm in love with Fortis right now. Been wearing for 3 days straight now.
