    Default Favorite Bottle Design

Would love to know what bottles people have that the design itself impresses you irrespective of the fragrance inside. Are the aesthetics able to properly convey the nature of the fragrance? And have you ever decided not to buy a perfume based on the packaging despite liking the fragrance? Some of my personal favorites are Slumberhouse with the beads, brilliant (With Slumberhouse redesigning, I'm excited to see what Josh does next); and Roja Dove's crystal cap and square labeling screams quality found within. Amouage's color selection surprisingly fits the smell, and Thierry Muegler's Amen and flankers plastic bottle seems to match the criticism some people have that the fragrance itself seems too synthetic and plastic. It was my least favorite bottles, Yves Saint Laurent, that brought this question to mind. Those heavy large caps are terrible, and I couldn't bring myself to buy La Nuit de l`Homme for that reason alone. Who most impresses you?

Tauer's bottles & tins are cool, but I'm not particularly affected by bottles.

The tinkly beads in the Slumberhouse bottles are fun - an unexpected bonus!

Some of my favourites are the classic ones like the old Joy or AdP Colonia ones.

My general rule to purchasing a perfume has nothing to do with the bottle design, the only one exception being YSL. Your choices are very nice! I really like Joy's bottle

Thanks - the Joy had a ground glass bit where the stopper went into the bottle.

I'm more interested in the contents too!

My favorite in my collection is my No.1 limited by Clive Christian in the crystal bottle, a gift from my son - classy as the scent.

You're both posting some beautiful choices. I love that Clive Christian. All their bottles are very nice, but that limited edition does indeed exude class

The Tom Ford Private line has my favorite bottles in general.

The 50ML are my faves. I like them better than the wider 100ML.

I like Jo Malone's simple bottle design and label. Classy.

Creed Royal Exclusive, Tom Ford Brown Square ones, many guerlains, amouage, SL bell jars

On the flip side, those that I feel need to improve their packaging are CDG, Montale, etc.

Most Amouage bottles are my favourites and will look great on any dress table or wardrobe. Their packaging isn't half bad either.

They all look great, with Lyric Man standing out as my favorite. That deep blood red with matte finish black cap is gorgeous. Didn't appreciate it until I saw it in person, can't wait to add it to my collection (for the perfume, with the bottle look being a great bonus).

I have always liked the Givenchy Xeryus and the brown apothecary Tom Ford bottles.

Agree they are fantastic - Lyric, Epic and Interlude. The cap alone is heavier than some 100ml bottles from other houses that I have. Very solid design and superb quality.

Guerlain's bee bottles... they are lovely. I love Shalimar's bottle, it's so elegant. Then I like Gaultier's body shapes ones as well...
I know I shouldn't be but I do get attracted to the bottle designs when I choose perfumes. There are quite a few perfumes I wish they had different bottles.

I don't think it gets much more beautiful than the L'Heure Bleue and Mitsouko bottles.

Although I didn't fall in love with the scent, I love the Jour d'Hermes bottles: simple, heavy, elegant.
