    Hi, guys!

    ---------->Kerosene Creature (EDP)<-----------

Ok, last Kerosene fragrance of this part. One word: Naah! In spite of being very unique, Creature is definitely not my cup of tea. Sweet birch, Mint, Lemon, Jasmine, Green tea, Sage, Violet leaves, Cypress, Cedar, Patchouli, and Moss are the notes, here. This is very green and aromatic with some woods. The mint is quite prominent although makes an interesting blend with cypress, violet leaf and moss.

The opening it´s not easy, I warn you. At some point I felt a like sick, as it was harsh and not very pleasant, I must say. However, about 10 min later, the scent started to get better and eventually the dry down gives us a very unique green/aromatic scent. You can see John Kerosene´s creativity here, but personally, don´t enjoy as much as many fragrance I´ve smelt.

Plus, projection is a problem, at least for me. Projection is very weak, really. This is a fragrance for Spring and Summer. Also, it can be hard to wear, so it´s not versatile in my opinion.

    Not for me.

    Regarding Performance:

    - Longevity: 8h
    - Sillage: Soft to moderate
    - Projection: ~2h

    Scent: 7.35
    Longevity: 8.15
    Sillage: 7.60
    Projection: 6.60
    Uniqueness: 8.50
    Versatility: 6.50
    --- Overall: 7.43

    Would I buy it? No.

The price of Creature is $140 for 100 ml, which is nice (the same as all Kerosene fragrances). However, since I don´t enjoyed it, I woudn´t buy it.

    Hi, guys!

    ---------->Slumberhouse Norne (Parfum Extrait)<-----------

Norne must be one the more impressive scent I ever smelled. It´s dark, resinous, mossy woods, smoky, oh my! This is the best forest scent I´ve ever smelled. Dark forest in a bottle (in this case a vial). Very original, natural, very unique with great quality. Fog caked needle, lichen, fern, moss, hemlock and incense, make an incredibly blend and composition.

Actually, I must say I had some difficulties wearing this, because the day was a bit hot and sometimes Norne became a unbearable. Oh, one let down: this juice stains. This is a dark green juice that will leave your skin stained (beware with spraying clothes). Those who smelled Norne were impressed with it. This fragrance is very very strong! This can be kind of suffocant if you spray too much!

The only problem I find here is versatility. Norne is a Fall/Winter fragrance (mostly Fall). However, I don´t see myself wearing this fragrance often. Norne is a real piece of art. This is not for the faint of heart and certainly not wearable in any occasion.

    Outstanding!

    Hi, guys!

---------->Maison Francis Kurkdjian Acqua Universalis (EDT)<-----------

As you may know, Acqua Universalis Forte was one of the fragrances I reviewed before. Being a great fragrance, with a major problem (too feminine), I was very curious about testing Acqua Universalis. So, I have one word: Amazing!

Acqua Universalis is the scent you´ll really love if you want a Acqua Universalis Forte more citrusy an less floral. This is really heavenly! Very clean, bright, high quality, oh my...! Is also less ""offensive"" than Acqua Universalis Forte. Acqua Universalis Forte is a kind of a mini-beast regarding performance. Acqua Universalis has, however, a great performance for an EDT. Bergamot, Sicilian lemon, lily of the valley, sweet mock orange, light and musky woods are the notes.

The opening is incredible and the fragrance is kind of linear. This is very easy to wear. I do think that it leans a little bit to the feminine side, but nevertheless, it can be worn with no problem by any man. The composition and blend are great, and woods help balancing the scent. Some say this resembles Clinique Happy. In my opinion this is way better and honestly don´t think it´s similar.

This can be a fragrance I would wear all seasons (hotter Fall and Winter days).

    Simply great!

    Regarding Performance:

    - Longevity: 13-14h
    - Sillage: Moderate

    Hi, guys!

    ---------->Byredo Gypsy Water (EDP)<-----------

Oh boy, here´s another incomprehensive review for Byredo non-lovers! lol! Guys, I love this!!! In fact, I must say, so far I´m enjoying this house a lot! This was the last Byredo fragrance of this part. The notes are: Bergamot, Lemon, Pepper, Juniper Berries, Incense, Pine Needles, Orris, Amber, Vanilla and Sandalwood.

Gypsy Water opening is kind of "citrusy pepperish" that will stay like that for a while. Almost like with a woody vibe. The drydown...is simply gorgeous! Ok, this is not the most non-linear scent, I have to agree, but you´ll get a delicate, smooth, slight powdery, creamy, sweet, citrusy, woody, spicy, balsamic combination.

I must say I prefer this scent on my skin than on paper. Let me tell you, I must be very lucky. The reviews I saw stated the major problem of this fragrance was being too weak. Ok, on me the performance was good, really! In fact, I could smell the fragrance almost all day. Had several compliments, most of them at the end of the day, so it is obvious that the scent was smelled by others.

Finally, this is clearly a all year round fragrance.

    What a surprise!

I'm so glad you are loving the Byredo's. I think it is unfairly hated on basenotes, but I almost feel like all of the hated houses are the ones I really like. I have yet to come across a Byredo that doesn't last and last...hmmm, maybe people just hate houses that have fragrances that actually have some staying power to them like Byredo and Bond no 9!
again, keep up the great work and thanks for all your awesome reviews. Gypsy Water is awesome, glad you like it.

I´ve tried 3 Byredo frangrance and was blown away by Pulp and found Gypsy Water a really great. Bal D´Afrique is beautiful but was the one with not so good performance. So, I have to say so far so good. From what I´ve seen, I must say that so far I prefer Byredo over Bond No 9, but I have 7 more to review.

    Take care.

    Hi, guys!

---------->Maison Francis Kurkdjian Amyris pour Homme (EDT)<-----------

Ok, you guys know I´m a Maison Francis Kurkdjian house fan. Has some incredible fragrances, with a very personal touch. So, I was very eager to try Amyris. So, what do I have to say? It´s a very nice fragrance that in spite of that, isn´t at the same level as Lumiere Noire or Acqua Universalis (Forte) (or even APOM).

Amyris notes are Rosemary, Mandarin, Elemi balsam, Coconut, Coffee, Iris, Milk chocolate, Tonka bean and Oud. The fragrance is well done but I miss the "WOW" click here. That´s kind of a conservative scent, very safe. Wearing Amyris, makes me think "this is like something I´ve smelled before". The scent is quite agreeable, but there´s really no "wow" here.

If you want a very safe perfume, non offensive and kind of linear, but with a very nice scent, go for Amyris. The combination is nice, but at some point you may get bored. I see no similarity with Creed SMW. The latter is incredible, Amyris is nice, but far from it. Although with a decent longevity, projection it´s not a reference, as it will be a skin scent most of the time.

    Expected more from MFK.

    Regarding Performance:

    - Longevity: 12h
    - Sillage: Less than Moderate
    - Projection: ~3h

    Scent: 8.45
    Longevity: 9
    Sillage: 7.75
    Projection: 7.50
    Uniqueness: 7
    Versatility: 7
    --- Overall: 7.80

Would I buy it? Not sure.

$145 for 70 ml is an acceptable price, but like I said, don´t see any WOW factor here, so no sure if I would buy it.

    Commendable work on the reviews!
When will you start purchasing full bottles ? I'm guessing you'll keep on sampling and later on will be tempted to buy them all.

    Hey, Jammy!

Thank you for your kind words.

Like I said before, the problem is that my love for fragrances is bigger than my wallet! Lol And "Would I buy it" is more an assement parameter, like others.

    Take care.

    Haha, okay i get it.
All these samples itself mustve cost a lot if you bought them from websites like stc, tpc etc.
Its a pity that your first part thread is not available, only one page is visible from your first part i guess.
Maybe you could also post the same reviews on fragrantica?

Well, I must say my idea about some of those fragrances (pt.1) changed a lot. You can see here their rating at the end of Pt.2:

It is most likely I will do a Pt.1 again, from the beginning, with my new opinions. As for Fragrantica, possibly.

    Hi, guys!

    ---------->Bond No 9 High Line (EDP)<-----------

So, one more Bond. What do I have to tell about this one? First, this is not my any means an unisex fragrance. This is clearly feminine. Second, even knowing the latter is not a reason for me not to enjoy a fragrance, although I find High Line pleasant, I do feel it´s boring and there´s simply no "WOW" whatsoever here.

Ok, let´s see this in more detail: High Line notes are: Bergamot, Purple Love Grass, Indian Rhubarb, Red Leaf Rose, Tulips, Grape Hyacinth and Bur Oak. The opening is like a fresh breeze of grass and citrus. The fragrance is linear and floral, although one can smell woodsy notes (Oak) in the dry down. I do think this can be an interesting option for Spring and Summer, mostly for women. I repeat, the scent is pleasant but not "wowish".

Many people say "this is Spring in a bottle!". This is in fact a very clean, green/fresh scent but not my number one choice for Spring, sorry. Others said "this is like a high class shampoo". Well, I beg to differ. No shampoo vibe here, at least not for my nose. The only problem I find here, is really the fact of being too feminine.

Performance is good, though. As for versatility, I can see this fragrance only being worn during Spring and Summer. Casual and even for work.

    Not for me.

    Regarding Performance:

    - Longevity: 12h
    - Sillage: Moderate to heavy
    - Projection: 4h

    Scent: 8.20
    Longevity: 9
    Sillage: 8.15
    Projection: 8
    Uniqueness: 7.45
    Versatility: 6
    --- Overall: 7.78

    Would I buy it? No.

No. Not for me. Plus, High Line costs $265 for 100 ml.

EDIT: Ok, I admit I was wrong. Now that I tested High Line in really hot days, I must say this fragrance really rocks. Maybe I didn´t appreciate it the best way last time, but this is a really beautiful scent PERFECT for very hot days. Very refreshing, grassy, with some florals and citrus, makes wonders during those very hot days. I became a fan of it! Perfomance is really good and projection really kicks during hot weather! Good sillage!

    Scent: 9
    Longevity: 9.15
    Sillage: 8.20
    Projection: 8.15
    Uniqueness: 8
    Versatility: 7.30
    --- Overall: 8.30

    Would I buy it? Yes!

It´s expensive, but I really would buy it. It could not be a priority, but yes, I´d go with it.

    Hi, guys!

    ---------->Creed Royal Oud (EDP)<-----------

The idea I remembered before testing Royal Oud was: "This is the oud fragrance for those who don´t like oud." Well, simply putting, I have to say: Outstanding!! As you guys know, I´m not much of an oud fan, although I really love some fragrances (Amber Oud and Red Aoud). But this is precisely the question. These 3 oud fragrances have something in common for me: their´re not those types of aggressive almost nauseating oud.

Anyway, back to Royal Oud, according to Creed, the whole idea of this creation was inspired on Wood, leather marble and gold, elements of a royal Persian palace, giving a touch of the splendor of palace life, Persian and Parisian. The notes are: Calabrian lemon, pink berry, Sicilian bergamot, Cedar, galbanum, angelic root, Regal Indian oud, sandalwood and Tonkin musk.

I can understand the disappointment of those who are looking for a oud reference base on Royal Oud. The oud here is very smooth, almost sweet. The quality here is impressive, as usual. This is an incredible scent, really. The opening is a bit harsh, citrusy/spicy. The dry down is amazing. This is sensual, exotic, yet elegant and classy and sensual. Believe me, this is strong for the first hour! However (and unfortunely), after 3-4 h, this becomes a close to the skin scent. Sillage is very interesting for a Creed.

Royal Oud is labeled as unisex. Well, in my opinion it leans to the masculine side. Interesting to see that, in spite of being a sophisticated rich oriental fragrance, there´s some kind of vintage vibe here. Not saying I think it´s outdated, none of that. This is a great fragrance for Fall and Winter, and, in my opinion, Spring. Very versatile.

    Outstanding!

    Regarding Performance:

    - Longevity: 11h
    - Sillage: Moderate
    - Projection: 4h

    Scent: 9.60
    Longevity: 8.90
    Sillage: 8.15
    Projection: 8
    Uniqueness: 8.40
    Versatility: 8.70
    --- Overall: 8.59

    Would I buy it? Yes!

This fragrance is expensive. Quality has its price. Costs $345, 75 ml. Nevertheless, the juice is incredible. Yes, I would.

I don't mind buying expensive niche fragrances, but Royal Oud crosses the line. One must draw a line somewhere.

It smells incredible and I would rather get a small decant instead.

Royal oud is frequently found for 130-170 dollars for 120 ml on facebook groups.
Same goes for all other creeds.
No point paying retail for creeds.
