Default What is the best Designer fragrance in the last 5 years?

I think Pure Malt is legendary..
Sure Mugler plays games with it..
One month the stock is low then high..
One month it's 80 bucks and some it's 120 bucks..

But overall I love it and believe this is the best boozy frag's ever..
    What is your favorite?

    Chanel - Bleu de Chanel
    Mugler - Pure Havane
    Dior Homme Sport 2012

If that includes the designer "exclusive" lines, then:
    Dior Vetiver
    Armani Prive Oud Royal
    Tom Ford - Neroli Protofino

If Tom Ford is applicable, I'd nominate both Italian Cypress and Noir de Noir.

For me, the designer game has really gone downhill, most of the great designer fragrances were 2006 and prior.

From the last 5 years, I would say.. A*Men: The Taste of Fragrance, Tim McGraw Southern Blend (although a celebrity fragrance), Spicebomb, Paul Smith Man.
    My Ultimate Top 5:

    Fahrenheit (1988)
    Paul Smith Man (2009)
    Burberry London (2006)
    Prada Amber pour Homme (2006)
    Arpege pour Homme (2005)

Mugler has done well with the A*Men flankers. I just wish he could have a new hit that moved in another direction. Not sure where - that's why he's Mugler - to figure out some crazy new direction for fragrance to try to go!

Both of those, I voted with my wallet, and enthusiastically agree!

Very under-appreciated. That is one really good fragrance. Voyage and Jour never got the wows that Terre did, but I think they're just as good. All three are pure Hermès, and form a nice trio of "masculine", "unisex", and "feminine", even though I think that they're all very wearable by anybody.

Another Bleu noted, and I have to agree about the Eau Sauvage Parfum. And we did forget about TdH Parfum - a significant release. And DHI - how could we forget?

Yes - he's done some amazing upscale designer work. I have NdN and love Italian Cypress.

You've already moved the Hermès into a top slot - I'm impressed! That one is going on my Hermès short list for sure.

I think it's going to be a contender with Bleu, for sure.

Have to agree on Spicebomb. Southern Blend was a really great idea. People complain about celebrity fragrances (and especially flankers) being derivative, but that one was not only novel upon release - it remains novel.
