I have luckily secured tickets through a business partner to see two matches but don't know yet which group or teams I'll be viewing.

I've been at the hospice care facility all Monday morning until now with my fiancées aunt. She's been fighting an uphill battle with cancer for 15 years now that's finally coming to a head.
Blood pressure and heart rate are low. She'll be leaving us any time now.

I'd like to ask my Basenotes brothers and sister to please put her in your thoughts and prayers to any God you pray to. Ask that she leaves this earth peacefully and quickly. She hasn't breathed fresh air in 6 months.

Also please don't forget to pray for your loved ones and your own health and safety. There's nothing more important in life.

    God bless.

Thank you everyone for your beautiful words and thoughts. I apologize if i put a morbid tone in this off topic section. I just thought maybe through the power of numbers we can somehow get through to her that its ok to let herself go.

She left this earth and went home this morning around 9am. As difficult as it was to see such an amazing human leave, you can't help but feel happy that her soul is finally at ease.

A truly classy lady until the very end. Nails painted and the ever so slight smell of perfume in the air.

I got a few minutes away from everything so i thought i would check in here. And it really put a smile on my face.

Thank you again to everyone. I will return the prays and thoughts. Please keep yourselves and families healthy and happy.

    Have a good night everyone!

Post The 'Whatever happened too' thread

Sometimes when I'm on Basenotes I wonder what happened to many long time and respected posters. There could be a plethora of reasons, I'm sure, but maybe some of you may know why they stopped posting or maybe why they lost an interest in fragrance all together?

Also, who are some posters who are no longer active that you miss seeing post and why?

Many have gone off to other groups, e.g. a Facebook fragrance group. I'm sure their reasons are varied.

Trebor's last postings seemed to end in a bit of a tear-up with another poster so maybe that was the final straw for him

Yeah, the game sucked. I was wondering if Peyton realized he was playing for Denver. The commercials sucked so I heard. I don't think this was a good year. On a side note, Bruno Mars worked out at my gym where I live. A friend pointed him out to me. I wasn't real familiar with his music at the time. A really nice guy no less.

He was the only bright spot in an otherwise dull game IMO.
