I bought this blind about 6 months ago. I really like this one -- one of the best fragrances for the money IMO.

Very nice scent, office friendly, great longevity.

Yes huge fan. It's bold, unique, good performance and affordable price, it's simply unbeatable and one of the best designer fragrances that came out in the last 20 years. A true gem.

I agree with you all, perhaps a little cloying yet bearable.

Yes, I just opened my bottle from the packaging that I bought from Amazon for $40 for a 3.4 oz. Wonderful stuff! It's a classic, yet refined and modern. Highly recommended. Rare to find such quality in a designer fragrance.

Slightly too much coconut in it for my taste, but otherwise not offensive or striking.

My bottle is about 14 years old.
It's only got some strength for about two hours on me - which is extremely disappointing.

    OP,

Assume you are referring to Kenzo Jungle Homme, with the "zebra tail" cap ? If so, it's great, and unique for a masculine - 4 stars from Tania, and I can see why.

Looks like it has gone a bit off. Do you remember it being stronger from years past? I checked the batch code online for my Jungle Homme bottle and it says it was manufactured in August 2011 and it still smells great. Perhaps it's time for you to buy a new bottle. For the price it goes for online, why not?

No harm, as long as you enjoyed it then it shouldn't matter to whom it is marketed to. Now all you need to do now is try Jungle Homme!

It's hard to find in Spain? I thought you guys had everything. Have you tried buying online? Beauty Encounter has it and I believe they ship worldwide. They're based in California. Even with the shipping added in I'm sure it's still cheaper than buying in Spain.

We may not agree and see eye to eye on Fleur du Male but we certainly do with Jungle Homme!

You guys have peaked my interest...does it smell dated at all? Also I'm wondering how strong the wood notes are?(can't stand Dirty English, TB original or gucci PH type heavy wood scents)

It's not dated at all and remains a fine and refined fragrance. I don't think it's too strong but it still has present sillage. I think you should go for it. It's way better than the fragrances you've listed and in a class of its own.

How is it different from Kenzo Tokyo? I like Tokyo quite a bit.

Thank Ronin! Yes, I think your right about giving this a go...especially since it can be had on ebay for a song.

Errrr, eBay? Why not buy it from someplace like Amazon directly and not the other sellers on there or Beauty Encounter where you know it's 100% real? I really hate eBay when it comes to fragrances.

I think Kenzo is one of the most underrated, if not THE most underrated designer houses. It's unfortunate though now, what they have become. Releasing boring redundant flankers, if even those at all. It looks like they may be out of the game now. Time for Peace is amazing, L'eau Par is an addicting lemon/citrus aquatic with a slight spicy twist to it, Power is a great floral, and a huge compliment getter. Haven't tried Tokyo, Jungle, and the whole "homme" line, but I am sure they are great.

Just for reference, can anybody maybe compare Jungle to something else more common, so I can get a better idea what it may smell like? Thanks.

Mine hasn't gone off - it was a dud longevity wise from when I first purchased it way back then, and still smells the same now.
Maybe this is a case of reformulation for the better?

Have you tried overspraying this and spraying on clothes and hair for better longevity? I imagine on the skin only it may lack longevity.

I've owned this three different times over several different periods, and I can say that this has never had bad longevity. It may just be your skin or nose. Its not a powerful fragrance but it is persistent and detectable. Its one of those recognizable smells that never seems loud but lasts an entire day. Could be a bad bottle or it could be nothing. That's the thing that drives me crazy about fragrances sometimes.

Riverside Drive by Bond No. 9

If smelling good was a crime, I'd be serving a lifetime sentence....

    On hair????
    Never.

But I always spray six or more of any scent on skin under clothes (i.e. it infuses into clothes).

With all the stuff that is floating in the air anyway you may as well spray on your hair. Try it if you can but if not then spraying on clothes is just as good. Spray on the front of your clothes and not underneath and don't be afraid to spray more than six times if you're having longevity problems. With Kenzo Jungle I've found that I get olfactory fatigue rather quickly with this one so maybe it just seems to you that it doesn't last past two hours. I also think six sprays isn't enough for Jungle Homme and you should try for at least 15 with this one because the spray isn't all that powerful and more of a mist. Double or triple your dose of Jungle Homme and spray on the front of your clothes and see it that helps the longevity problem.
