Default Good fragrances for Jury Duty

Apologies for what may be a provincial thread about Jury Duty in the US. I'm not sure how global this type of service is. US citizens can be summoned to serve on juries in civil and criminal cases. The relevant facts for this thread are that you are required to spend up to several days in a large assembly room which is generally not too crowded and may be drafty. Once sent to a courtroom, though, you may find yourself in close proximity to many people you've never seen before and will never see again, in a variety of crowded rooms which may be hot, cold, stuffy, drafty, or anywhere between.

Last time I was on jury duty, Habit Rouge EdT bloomed unpleasantly in a hot and stuffy room and I felt distinctly uncomfortable. Nobody said a word, though.

So, give me your suggestions! You can have fun and make jokes (15 sprays of Rien, Sec Mag, etc., sorry, I just took those two off the table). Good laughs and useful suggestions will be welcomed and appreciated equally.

Anything light and inoffensive if a scent is to be worn.

I forgot what i wore in my recent jury duties (in DC, it's one every 2 1/2 years, plus the federal ones). Not Bandit, though...

Likely something fresh but inoffensive like Sycomore. And in light doses.

Personally I wouldn't wear a fragrance in such an uncomfortable situation because you may have unpleasant memories associated with the scent from your jury duty.

Exactly this. You're probably going to spend an entire day (except for a lunch break) in a huge crowded room. If you do get called up, you and a group of others will be summoned into a tiny cramped room that is probably stuffy too.

I usually skip wearing a fragrance when I'm going to jury duty. They call me up once every three years, like clockwork! If I were going to wear anything, I'd pick something like Prada, Infusion d'Homme or Mugler Cologne.

If you're bringing a laptop, get there early to score a seat by an outlet! I usually bring a deck of cards or two. People get so bored sitting there all day. Everybody likes playing cards. OK, maybe not everybody... but seriously... time flies when you're having fun, and there's nothing less fun than jury duty.

    Terrific responses!

Thank you all for keeping me entertained in the assembly room, and during recesses in jury selection. I am happy to report that a jury was selected without me, and I am done for a year. I can go back to wearing whatever I want without fear of being held in contempt of court.

Special shout outs to Tony T for pointing out the opportunity to be Cologne Guy, and CapriDog for the suggestion of Zafar. A lethal combination if acted on. Might get me a trial of my own!

Lol indeed. The last time I was up for jury duty, I am convinced that my dismissal from the juror pool (and I was in the final rounds) was due to the fact that the district attorney caught me staring at the defendant with lust in my eyes. He was so hot, it was criminal (the defendant, that is).

Seriously, I would wear something light and something that I'd already had a variety of experiences with, so that whatever happened, I wouldn't associate the jury experience overly much with it. Sort of like the guidelines I use for wearing a fragrance to funerals. A classic eau de cologne, if you are into those, would fit perfectly. Aqua di Parma and Mugler Cologne, mentioned by previous posters, are good choices.

Since I hate jury duty and anything dealing with courts, I'll wear the loudest cologne I own and apply at least a 6-7sprays seeing that it's gonna be a really long day.
