Are we talking over/under rated for frag heads or for the general public?
Assuming we are talking about the general public, I would have to go with:

Underrated: YSL - Call me crazy but I promise nobody in my area ever talks about this house. I am ashamed

    Overrated: Gucci or D&G

A big +1 for Gucci being overrated by the general public. People get sucked into buying their products because of the name...which is a direct result of the media making them out to be so much greater than the brand actually is
Well enjoying what you're wearing is crucial, it is of the utmost importance to wear something that others like as well.

Ah yes. Much as I like Sahara Noir, overall Tom Ford is an overrated and overblown line. Maybe not as pretentious as Creed, but close.

How can Bond be overrated when most people think it's way overrated and not many rate it highly at all? How can people have such a great grasp of how highly rated houses are that they can so easily answer this question? Also, rated where: Basenotes or real world?

I too was basing mine not off of average Joe/real world; rather, us connoisseurs and enthusiasts.

Before even reading people's opinions, I knew Bond No 9 was gonna be the most "overrated", or Creed.

Very difficult this, for a number of reasons

Under rated (purely because it does not get much attention on here): Parfumerie Generale

Over rated (purely because IMO they rely on their name to sell lots of boring scents): Gucci

Underrated-many of the ones that released good to great male fragrances during the 70s and 80s
Overrated-many of the ones that come up with a new trendy flanker for the same fragrance even multiple times a year, almost each month
