Default Best Thing About Having a Collection.......

When you wear something you haven't worn in a while and you think "WOW, this is great, I should wear it more!"

Agree. That is the best thing about having a collection. And also the worst thing about having a large collection.

... time permitting, when you read an interesting thread/post concerning something in your collection you can easily check it out and compare/contrast your impressions with those of others. It enhances the hobby/past time aspect and learning a thing or two never gets old.

There is something for every occasion or mood and you never get bored. Plus, you reach a point where new releases often become less desired because new formulations lack that certain "something" (thanks IFRA) that elevates the scent to the level where it becomes a "must buy".

The ability to smell something new and decide either "nah, I don't need that, I already have 3 musky white florals and they don't get worn" OR "yes, I love leather-apricot-chypres and I need them ALL."

Giving away great fragrances to family and friends that they may not have purchased on their own. Having someone go through your collection and finding a signature fragrance for themselves or my personal favorite, having your friends come to your house before they go out because they know you have a fragrance for every occasion

I think the best thing is never having to worry about it. There's always something to wear.
