Rive Gauche. Sort of a blind buy, since I never tested it before buying, but still had plenty of BN reviews to read as reference.

Amouage Homage is still hard to beat - that was quite a few years ago, now. Time flies.

Before that it was probably New York and Idole.

Or Black and Violette Fumee have been the two most really happy surprises since then - they exceeded my expectations

Ohhh - and Patrick of Ireland! I had been wanting it for years and a very kind gentleman in the old country asked me if I was still keen and sent me one just a few weeks ago. Wonderful stuff.

The bulk of my purchases are blind buys. My most recent favorite blind buys are Masque Milano Montecristo and Histoires de Parfums Tubereuse Animale.

If I had to pick one favorite it would be Amouage Gold Man.

I blind bought DHI as one of my first 10 fragrances a few years ago. I now own several DHI and have almost finished that first bottle - so it was a good decision.

I've bought very little blind. Even more obscure fragrances I try to get small decants of first before buying. But of what I have gambled on blind, Rive Gauche Pour Homme would be the winner.

    It smells great.

Calm, upbeat, quite classical green fougere style top but leaning a bit more toward an affable musk base (as opposed to a more traditional 'austere' nutmeg with oakmoss style of fougere base). It will make an honest man of you
