Own and like both. Of the two - the latter.
Thinking of buying one of these fragrances to use in spring and summer. Which one would you recommend?

I've sort of - slowly - come to the conclusion that Edition Blanche is the worst Chanel I've ever owned. Really synthetic. Little or no finesse. I may give it another wear or two but I think my janitor's going to end up getting a nearly-full bottle of it. So DHS it is, by default.
I don't like Edition Blanche either, I don't see what all the hype is about to be honest. I'd go with Dior Homme Sport between the two.

Like both, prefer DHS slightly.
AHEB lasts all day-smells great and gets compliments..
I think AHEB is too similar to AHS, and I prefer AHS, so my vote in this case would be for DHS...
I like both. They are really different and the opinion is just going to be split and of no help whatsoever to you until you go test them, which is easy since both are in every sephora and department store...
If it's a vintage bottle of DHS then I'd chose it over Blanche. The reformulated DHS is another story.
I own DHS(2008)and have a couple of samples of Blanche...and I actually prefer the Chanel.
Quite ironic from Chanel to designate Edition Blanche as an Eau de Toilette CONCENTRÉE considering the lousy performance of this fragrance, particularly on the projection...a skin scent in less than an hour !!! Such a shame after the great lemon opening...30 minutes later : Adios !!!
Dior Homme Sport (both versions) smells wonderful...and lasts...and lasts !!!
I currently own DHS 2012 and I love it more and more each time i wear it.
The iris note is perfectly blended making it quite elegant and addictive.
Not a big fan of the Chanel. It almost smells like lemon pie... Not my cup of tea. I own and love DHS (2012). It's blended beautifully. The iris note adds classiness to the composition. Ginger-lemon (warm spicy-fresh) contrast is distinctive. Very versatile fragrance as well. Can't think of an occasion or climate where I couldn't wear it. It gets my vote.
It depends what you really want. I enjoy both fragrances (only have samples of both) but can see why one would be swayed either way. I think DHS 2012 performs much better. AHEB smells great but only lasts for a short amount of time. If you are looking for something that would be easier to wear around others, then DHS wins again. Some people I have asked who work at Sephora and who were customers there said that AHEB smelled like a lemon house cleaner, which was a turnoff for me. I love the scent of AHEB but DHS performs better for me and that iris really is an addicting, classy scent that will always keep me hooked.
On a side note, AHEB is on my list because Chanel is my favorite house and I just want it fragrance junkie problems..

Dior Homme Sport
Own and like both (new version of DHS). Overall I prefer EB and it's one of my top 10's of all time. It's great for work and going out. However I like to wear DHS to the gym, it's less formal IMO.

Edition Blanche. Class in a bottle.
I see these two as being used differently.
DHS is more of a warm weather fragrance for me. I would like Blanche more in the cooler months.

I dislike the Allure line. DHS for me.
They both warrant a buy...It really depends what you want to use it for. DHS is better suited for the warm weather.
Well enjoying what you're wearing is crucial, it is of the utmost importance to wear something that others like as well.
DHS (2008) in my opinion. It is the epitome of what a sports fragrance should smell like. Not the generic synthetic citrus crap that most houses release.
USAFAMMO9's Swap Thread:
DHS for sure. EB has zero longevity. Allure homme sport would be better
I've owned multiple bottles of both. Don't worry too much about this decision as both are very good. That being said, I prefer DHS
Liking both, but slightly more inclined to recommend DHS.
Dior Homme Sport for me!!!
Both great. Really depends on you.
I know. Get both.
Both if possible.
Vintage DHS> AH EB > New DHS.
