Norstrom, you smell particularly delicious today!

My SOTD is the deliciously dark Ore by Slumberhouse. Wow, this stuff is luscious. Biting in just the right ways, rich and smooth underneath. It may be time to freeze my credit cards in a block of ice again. Sigh...

Ore notes: Oakwood, Cocoa, Mahogany, Guaiac, Dittany of Crete, Vanilla, Whiskey Lactone and Peru Resin.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Wish whispers, “Something is just around the corner,” what comes or not is never what was wished for. When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson

My sale thread has some of my underappreciated fragrances looking for a good, new home...

This morning, I sprayed on some Sandalo by Lorenzo Villoresi layered with some Mysore Sandalwood by DSH. Now I've got on a sample of:

    Fleurs de Gardenia by Creed

I think 30Roses gave me a sample of this, didn't you L? In any event, I didn't really like it when I first sampled it, but today I love it. Maybe it's because I still have some sandalwood on my skin underneath this, and I'm smelling the combo of the two? Or maybe I like it better the second time? Who knows. Creed florals and I don't always get along, I am much more drawn towards their greens, aromatics and woods. But when they get a floral note right (the rose in Windsor is exquisite, isn't it?) they get it RIGHT. I love this gardenia in the top notes - it's very satisfying.

Put it on this morning. Seven hours later, still smell oranges, although the cedar overshadows the oud in the dry down. For me, It's like a cross between PdE Azemour Les Orangers and Parfums 06130 Cedre. I like it.

I decided to wear it this evening as well just to give it one last chance. The oranges finally came through clearly this time and stayed. I think my previous wearings had something to do with the diet or sinuses. Check my fragrantica review on it
