Default Surrender To Chance - Site Certificate Warning

I cannot get into my account anymore. A message comes up trying to connect me to another site. Anybody else have this problem?

I can't access my account but didn't have any message, although I don't have pop-ups enabled.

It could be a random problem of some sort with the website, but we'll move this to Internet Shopping as that's a more appropriate area of the Forum.

Yeah, google comes up and tells me something about a website called bigcommerce wants a redirect, accept or not.

It looks like something to do with the Certificate - be interesting to see what happens!

It will not let you log in. You can still look at the different perfumes they carry, and maybe more, but no account info, wishlists.

Sure, but by trying to log in, you might allow some hacker to snatch your password...

I tried to log in but my p/w wouldn't do them much good because I use Paypal so there's not much worth having!

The log in window does not even come up.

That's where google or the security software I have won't let me see the log in.

Never mind - it'll probably be fine tomorrow.

Screenshot of the current situation there:

I'm using the "Whois & Flags Firefox & Websites Popularity Rating" add-on

Adding: Per PattyW the site has NOT been hacked. IPP was right on the money; they are in the process of getting some verifications and all will be as it was soon.

Looks like they may be moving to a bigger host, just guessing.

Meanwhile, maybe the title of the thread could be changed? It seems misleading and might cause some unnecessary alarm. Maybe "Surrender to Chance - Site Certificate warning"?

I completely agree with you about the title change Zatarain.

Excerpts from emails from Patty White:
"...We want to be Google Trusted, so we need to be under our own SSL certificate. Weíve been using Big Commerce (our shopping cart vendor) SSL cert since we started, even though we had our own. So in moving it over to our SSL, they do something with our website that for a short period of time, the HTTPS looks bad, because everything is in process, but the messages just havenít caught up throughout the internet world. So itís fine, and those messages should resolve hopefully yet tonight or weíll be calling. As far as I know, itís still all secure, it just thinks it isnít because one site is saying we are using Big Commerceís SSL and something else says it is our own, and thinks it is hacked...

...Oh, and if anyone was trying to get the free or discount shipping, we will be extending that another two days since people may not feel comfy putting in an order right now, with those message warning them, even though we know itís okay..."

Just changed the title - good suggestion, folks!

PS - yes - it's exactly what she said. Here is my Firefox error - so the system is still cleaning out its interwebs.

    Thanks for the info., socalwoman.

Apparently, the Google Trusted Site verification should be completed within a day or so & until then weird messages are likely to appear.
