    Default Johnston & Murphy Shoes

    Hello all,

Do any of you own any Johnston & Murphy Oxfords/Saddles? If so, what what was/is your experience with them: Comfort, Durability, price to product ratio. Did you use them for formal or casual use? I am looking to buy some decatur saddle style shoes and I figured I'd get my fellow basenoters' opinion before going shopping this weekend. Thanks for any replies!

I'm a CEO and I have more J&M than any other brand. They're a great value for the money. I love Allen Edmonds, but wow they are expensive!

I use them for both dress and casual. Great brand.

I have the shoes you're talking about, but I bought them about 20 years ago! I don't wear them often. Obviously they have lasted a long time. They were somewhere around $200 when I bought them, I think.......it has been quite a while!

At first I only wore them for special occasions, but over the years I've worn them more often, sometimes to work. They are comfortable and durable, and I always get compliments so I know they still look good. Mine are oxblood and black.

Mine are kind of 'hard'.....they never became very pliable or soft.......but I think they're just supposed to be like that.
