Hi, as the title suggests, do you guys have any recommendations for such a scent?
I understand not many of you would enjoy a scent that is so subtle and uninteresting, but I'm looking for a clean and fresh designer fragrance that is more suited for outdoorsy activities and the beach. Here is some information about me! I'm 20 and I live in Singapore and it is really warm and humid here. Not looking for something too sweet or too floral or one that belongs to the high end designers and niche brands.
I'm new to the fragrance world and I'm appreciative of any suggestions! Thanks!
As you are in a hot and humid climate, I would suggest:
Mugler Cologne - very inexpensive too
Chanel - Allure Homme Edition Blanche
Armani - Acqua Di Gio
I'd try Guerlain Homme L'Eau (or L'Eau Boisee), Davidoff Cool Water and Crabtree and Evelyn West Indian Lime (if you can find it).
+1 Nautica Voyage
Ducati for Men is amongst the biggest under the radar frags on the planet ..... a superb performer in hot weather .
Should be easily available there for you online .
Another for Monsieur Balmain

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm currently looking at Azzaro Chrome Sport and Issey Miyake's L'eau D'issey Pour Homme Sport too. How do they fare?
Well then just buy calvin klein perfume, ferrari perfumes, chanel perfume online. These all are international brands and have very nice fragrance. you would definitely enjoy the smell of these scents. So don't wait and go ahead. Azzaro Chrome is also the finest brand but not more than calvin or ferrari.
You're actually considering two relatives of the two I was going ot suggest. Kenzo Eau 2 Kenzo and Azzaro Chrome. E2K is a very sharp citrus/green with grapefruit and tomato leaf. It doesn't last long on the skin (or clothes for that matter) but smells great while it is there. Chrome is well known and clean. Mont Blanc legend is another nice, light, clean fragrance.
Comme des Garcons Vettiveru

SALES THREAD Slumberhouse, CdG & More...
Best option in this case would be John Varvatos Artisan (not too floral nor sweet and very fresh; quite natural; on my skin i get medium longevity & projection but with 5-6 sprays).
Calvin Klein Eternity Summer 2013 & 2011
Cerruti Image for Man
Issey L'Eau D'Issey Summer 2012 & 2013
Azzaro Chrome Sport
Burberry Summer editions
Guerlain Homne but with a Terrific natural Mojito vibe...
"Thank GOD for the nose, for without it we would not be enjoying these beautiful created Scents" also Remember "Balance is everything and the key to appreciating "
Millesime Imperial or, if your budget doesn't allow, Sean John Unforgivable.
Anything Chrome by Azzaro. Most the L'Eau d'Issey line from Issey Miyake. Both have very unique and pervasive qualities to them, regardless of temperature and humidity. I'd look at Chrome legend, specifically.

If you want fresh but also something that will last all day check out Nio by Xerjoff
+1 for Nio
Seconding especially Mugler Cologne. Also: Acca Kappa Muschio Bianco, Givenchy pour Homme Blue Label, Bleu de Chanel.
Fresh, crisp and clean are perfectly bottled in Acqua di gio essenza in my opinion.
Hypocrites will always be a thorn in my back....and my middle finger will always be the best remedy.....
Tons of great recommendations! So I will add Versace Pour Homme to the list a well!
IMO, Chrome sport is a pretty good one...but beware of L'eau D'Issey as it's kind of a polarizing scent. On my skin it gets pretty floral and musky on the dry down. I actually just bought the Summer 2013 edition and like the opening better and the more mellow dry down...kind of like a "light" version on the original and one I would highly recommend for a tropical climate like yours. Liked it so much, I sold my original bottle and will stick with this from now on
Chanel pour monsieur ( not the concentree). Fresh and classy

I think I'm leaning towards the more lemon-y fragrances for freshness! Currently considering Chrome Sport and Monsieur Balmain. Any more suggestions? Also, is it reliable to buy fragrances from Amazon? They are really cheap and products that are hard to find are easily avaiable there!
Try Tom Ford Neroli Portofino for a lot of citrus.
Amazon usually has good service, but sometimes the image on the site and what you get is different, and they have a disclaimer on this.
Likewise, some Amazon scents have serial numbers scraped off the bottles and cartons/boxes.
"No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this." Desert Rose by Sting and Cheb Mami, Album 1999.
Guerlain Homme L 'Eau
+ 1 for Guerlain Homme L'Eau, I have the Boisee and find it very clean and fresh
Atelier Orange Sanguine is very fresh too.
How about the Hermes Jardin collection? I don't own them but they may work well in the heat and humidity from what I have read
Guerlain Homme L'Eau
L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme (original)
Dior Homme Sport
Versace Pour Homme
If you are not looking into anything particularly good, anything containing "sport" in its name will work well enough.
My current top five:
Etro - Vetiver
Boucheron - Jaipur Homme
Serge Lutens - Fumerie Turque
Hermès - Equipage (vtg)
YSL - M7 (vtg)

Chanel allure is what you're looking for
Allure Homme Sport
Dior Homme Sport 2008
Versace Eau Fraiche
Creed Millesime Imperial
Please keep the suggestions coming! Niche fragrances are out of my league though. I quite like Dior Homme Sport because of its clean and transparent scent. Any fragrances with such a similar drydown (with or without the ginger note)?
Acqua di Parma Colonia
Please check out my selling list:
YSL Opium homme EDP, Rive Gauche pour homme, Villoresi Uomo, Dior Homme vintage, Body Kouros, Guerlain homme intense etc.
Have you tried Kenneth cole reaction? It's pretty cheap and it's a clean fresh melon scent.. Also you might try burberry classic.. thats the only fragrance ive bought more than once.. I actually got it by accident thinking i was buying something else but i tried it and liked it so much i kept it. But thats before i really started to get into collecting. I've seen both at ross,tj max, burlington.
Sounds like another job for good ol' Cool Water.
For lemony fresh try Chanel allure homme sport cologne.. not the grey bottle.. its in a clear bottle.. it's really lemony.. kinda like issey miyake without the florals & yuzu. I actually like it more than the regular allure homme sport.. And it has great longevity!
Creed Pure White Cologne would fit your criteria better than anything I can think of.

Eau de Rochas pour Homme
"Le parfum est la musique du corps"
Any feedback on Aspen by Coty and Curve by Liz Claiborne? Heard they are cheapies yet smell rather expensive!
Check out Serge Lutens l'Eau.
Not designer (I think Escentuals at Tangs carry it) but potent considering the 'relative safety' of the style - you'll get a good bang for your buck. Lutens aficionados tend to pooh pooh it (he actually calls it an 'anti perfume' - dear old Serge) but taken as it is - a clean, crisp, light citrus + laundry musk kind of concoction it may be just what you're looking for.
Added bonus - when you finish it you can clean the bottle and spray mechanism and decant some Guerlain Eau de Cologne Imperiale into it from your 250ml Bee Bottle for short haul trips away - which is what I do
Also recommended, Guerlain Cologne du Parfumeur. A 'green' variation on the EDC accord with a bit of musk to give it longevity - good for what you want.
+ Eau de Rochas pour Homme
+ Azzaro Chrome
+ CK One
In really hot weather I like these best for their longevity.
My experience with Creeds as to longevity in high temperatures is lousy.
IMO not worth the money.
BTW, instead of wasting your money on TF Neroli Portofino, you could also try 4711.
Penhaligon's Quercus is another citrus and almost identical to CK ONE. In this case I prefer CK ONE,
for its longevity.
I have tried all of these in the gym in hot weather.
