Default Looking for a particular type of scent

Hello, I am new to the forum and to fragrances in general. I am looking for a fragrance with a particular type of scent that fits these parameters: masculine and clean/fresh, can be worn throughout the year, with strong longevity and moderate sillage. I am a fan of aquatics, but I am not necessarily looking for an aquatic as I want to be able to wear it in the winter.

Some fragrances I liked that I tried so far:

Lacoste Blanc (smells fantastic, no longevity or sillage)
Polo Red (very nice, but don't see purchasing)

I have a longer list of dislikes, each for different reasons like gave me a headache, dislike the smell, or poor longevity:

Creed Aventus, D&G The One, Lacoste Essential Sport, Issey Miyake Sport, Chanel Bleu, and AdG

If you know of anything that I might like, I will look into and give it a try. Thank you.

    Welcome!

I dislike aquatics myself. For fresh and long lasting, I like vetivers. They smell fresh, slightly green, and natural. Some vetivers have woods in the base, which make them very good for the winter as well.

The favorites are Chanel Sycomore (which has a lot of wood in the base) and Dior vetiver. They are quite expensive though. Lalique Encre Noire is similar to Sycomore. Tom Ford is also a good mainstream vetiver.

I prefer Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme. I bought this one for my vacation when I went to Thailand and this reminds me a lot of beach, swimming into sea and everything about my vacation.

I also wear this in winter, but after couple hours this reminds a lot of AdG on my skin. This one got better longevity than AdG.

Chanel Platinum Egoiste fits the bill... clean, masculine, long lasting.

Thank you for the responses. I will try TF Vetiver as a sample again. I smelled it on a strip at Sephora and didn't like it much. Maybe it will be different on my skin.

Fresco. Similar to Creed Aventus. The price won't hurt your pockets either.

Maybe Lanvin L'homme Sport - clean and fresh. Not aquatic, rather a long-lasting lemon scent weighted down with oakmoss. Can be found cheap.

Didn't have my glasses on Thanks! In that case, I would have to go with Lalique White.

I received Terre D'H, Tom Ford For Men, and A* Men samples in the mail. Terre is very strong and unfortunately reminds me of an old man. A* Men smells kind of juvenile and cartoonish. I am in love with TFFM, but unfortunately it only lasts two hours on my skin and has zero silage.
