    Default Favorite Slumberhouse fragrance?

I'm very curious which is yours! Personally, it is Baque. I love the more honeyed "Fall" that contrasts to Sova.

I haven't tried even half, but so far, Sova leads the pack for me. Basque sounds intriguing though.

Where's "Vikt?" (Is that "Verg" spellchecked?)

I voted Norne. I was absolutely blown away the first time I smelled this. There's still nothing like it. I have the EDP.

However, Zahd has the potential to take its place. I still need more time with it.

I am so sorry! I excluded this from my list accidentally - or as others on this forum may suspect, because I hate it

Wish I grabbed a bottle of Baque while it was available. It's so good.

Loved Baque, it was way too strong for me though. I wish it was released in extrait, I would wear it ALL the time. My favorites are definitely Rume EdP and the new Vikt.

Right now, it's Mare for me. I'm infatuated. Zahd is hanging in there, but with tobacco notes on the line, champaca is going to have to take a number.

The drydown of Mare is exqusite. When I compare it to the scratchy dry-downs of some very nice scents, I have to marvel. That base could be used in the most sophisticated modern feminines on the planet, and would give them what I can only describe as an Amelia Earhart vibe. Great stuff!

My Mare bottle was leaking via the cap as I got it and the velvet pouch was soaked with Mare a tiny bit. My first reaction was ew as I smelled the pouch so I left it on the kitchen counter and washed my hands. Since I am rarely in the kitchen area so a few days past as I was cleaning some glasses, I smelled something really nice and turned out that was from the pouch siting on the counter, the dry down of Mare. It has been several months and the pouch still smells quite nice.

I only tried 8 scents and would vote for Norne.

Rume...but then I dab from a 5ml freebie I got from Josh when Rume first came out and it has a fantastic honey note to go with the festivities of the spice notes. Love the honey note!

Then comes Sova, but for me it has to be applied very judiciously or else it gets to wearing me.

I have a 50ml bottle of Rume as well. Did Josh discontinue Rume? I don't find it listed in any of the stock list sites and he hasn't put his Slumberhouse sale page up yet on his website.

I voted for the great Norne. There is nothing like it around, then again, not much can keep up with Slumberhouse in general. I just wish he would stop discontinuing scents so quickly and frequently. Im now on the hunt for Sova and thanks to noideawhatimsaying, the honeyed Baque also. Thanks....

I can't really pick a favourite, because it varies by my mood, and by season. I thought I hated Pear & Olive, but it turns out I like it - but only on certain summer days. Some days all I want is Sova, other times the very thought is offputting. I can say which ones I've just never warmed up to - my samples of Norne and Vikt. I don't hate them, but no matter how many times I try them, they're never anything more than "Christmas tree farm" on me. Very blah, and surprisingly short-lived.

Wow, interesting. I get a full day from a couple of dabs of Vikt, and a couple of dabs of Norne carries me for two full days!

In fact, I started with a 1.5 ML sample of Norne. Tried it a few times, liked it, and decided to buy a bottle. I still haven't emptied my 1.5 ML sample! At this rate, I think it absolutely clear that my 30 ML bottle of Norne will outlive me. (I'm 60).

Yes it is, I'm hoping that one day it's release in extrait form...so it would be a bit more subdued...like the new Vikt Extrait. Baque is a screamer! Once it mellows though, it's hard to beat.

Actually, this poll is quite amusing, as most Slumberhouse releases have undergone various reformulations. That coupled with personal tastes, especially regarding the formulations, makes the results far from conclusive.

2012 batch or 2013 batch? Eau de Parfum or extrait?

Haven't tried them all. Like best: Norne, Sova, Jeke. Vikt is good for a few hours until it turns into a somewhat muddled and less complex version of certain 80's leather chypre drydowns, drydowns I often like, but not so much here. Might try smelling it on another person and see what I think.

As of now Norne is the one I'd buy.

2012 batch or 2013 batch? Eau de Parfum or extrait?
Perhaps this explains Ore in the poll. Really thought that would have more votes
My favorites in no particular order:

Vintage Antaeus, Vintage Bel Ami, Puredistance M, Vetiver Extraordinaire, Tauer L'Air du Desert Marocain, MDCI Invasion Barbare, Amouage Jubilation XXV, Morabito Or Black, Sycomore, Gucci Pour Homme I, Jovoy Private Label, Geranium Pour Monsieur

It's coming back. I just read this on twitter:

@slumberhouse: Took long enough but I can now share that Sova will begin shipping this week. Please note it has not been reformulated in any way.

+1 Of the ones that I have, I really like Sova from 2012, Jeke from early 2013 (not sure if extrait or edp) and Ore extrait mid-2013. I haven't tried the most recent iterations of the scents.

ChillWilli: That's great. Thank you for posting this.

Just checked Slumberhouse's website. Sova is there, scheduled availability 10/1/14, 30ml $160.

Love all the Slumberhouse fragrances I've tried. However, for me it was a question of, "Do I REALLY want to smell like this?

Last time I wore Sova I was told that I smelled like a glass of Maker's Mark bourbon that had been drunk several hours before. I had to ask if that was a good thing and was assured that it was. Either way, I like the stuff a lot and enjoy wearing it occasionally.

It has to be Jeke for me. It's my first purchase from the house; visited Twisted Lily for the first time as well, with the goal being: "a fragrance I can detect on myself after 30 minutes with decent sillage." The VERY knowledgeable Anna narrowed my best choices down to a few that absolutely fit my description, and after some more searching and poking around, I was left with a few Slumberhouse ones, and one from DS & Durga. It was awesome to smell and test some of the niche scents I've been waiting to try for so long! Jeke was just what I've been looking for! And it seems true what I've read in BN forum postings: It's a monster! Very happy with my purchase and plan to explore more.
