    Default Melon for the summer?

I've come across a few Melon scents. They're usually pretty girly, but they suit a hot and humid day.

Now I'm not talking about fruity, there are plenty of Apple and generic fruity, I'm talking specifically Melon...

Though it's got very poor longevity and silage, I love my Vermeil White. Smells like straight up, albeit synthetic and candied, watermelon. Like a watermelon Jolly rancher.

On a more serious note, a good batch of MI does melon to an A+! Bergamotto Marino by Gianfranco Ferre also show a nice melon note, once in a while that is...

I Profumi Di Firenze- Brezza Di Mare has a salty melon note. Very beachy and sunny.

Coney Island by Bond from Michel Almairac (a love/hate fragrance) immediately came to mind with the mention of mellon, with it's sweet caramel & honey dew mixed with salty margarita, it's ripe for cool summer evenings.

Jaipur Homme Limited Edition by Annick Menardo also has a fresh & watery melon top note, which makes it more wearable in the summer than the original oriental, although is harder to find being a seasonal flanker.

Agreed.I really like MI, too, but I don't get very good longevity with it either.

Kenneth Cole Reaction is a pretty good melon fragrance with some patchouli, musk, and wood in the drydown that balances out the fruit nicely. Definitely a good summer scent, I used to wear it fairly regularly a few years back and went through two bottles.

Kenneth Cole Reaction - yes. It's a sort of Jolly Rancher take on melon.

OK, I'll go ahead and say it: women love it.

KC Reaction is great, but has terrible longevity Paris Hilton for Men is a good long lasting melon scent on the cheap...but I'm fairly certain you'll find this one way too fem for your tastes.

Haha, yeah I thought about saying it, too I also used to get tons of compliments when I wore it. Just saw it at Ross the other day, might have to pick up a bottle for spring/summer.

Also by Creed, it may be just my personal opinion, but I also sense a watermelon note Royal Water- longevity is pretty decent too.

i have learned to avoid creed... and melon. my suggestion for a masculine summer scent is harmatan noir by pg. otherwise a 'lemon' might be better than 'melon'. a lot a stuff there to look for.

I agree that MI is the best melon, but you guys have to remember this is the guy that thinks its ridiculous to spend over $50 on a fragrance, so that's out of the question

Except that if I'm not mistaken Unbound has been discontinued for some time now and fetches a pretty good asking price last time I checked.

Yeah, it's a bummer for sure that it's discontinued because Unbound was a great cheap summer scent...just like Bergamotto Marino

Fragrancenet have a 500ml flacon of MI for $300 after coupon. That works out to 60 cents/ml. So, the juice alone for a 50ml split would cost $30. Just can't be split on BN.
