It all comes down to taste because there are plenty of excellent Vetiver fragrances.
    Some of my favorites are...

    Grey Vetiver
    Sycomore
    Vetiver Tonka
    Sel de Vetiver

There are several I swap between when getting my vetiver fix: Turtle Vetiver Back, Turtle Vetiver Front, Vetiverius, Vetiver Incenso, Annick Goutal Vetiver, Yosh Sombre Negra (vintage), Sel d' Vetiver, Fueguia Horneo - but my favorite recently has been Turtle Vetiver Back. This stuff is great and has a little of all aspects I like in vetiver - green, dirty enough, but with style.

    For me it's Guerlain Derby.
Is the juice worth the squeeze?

So many great vetiver scents already mentioned.

    My favourites are:

Givenchy Vetyver - a great fresh vetiver
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver - strong and long lasting
    Sycomore - smoky and extraordinary
Hermes Vetiver Tonka - lovely vetiver with a great hazelnut almost gourmand note
Frederick Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire - great earthy vetiver

    Not as keen on:

Guerlain vetiver - a bit too soapy and not fond of the tobacco note
CdG Vettiveru - great smell but weak and short lasting
Encre Noir - ok but Sycomore blows it away
Creed Original Vetiver - reasonable smoky scent, but not much vetiver

    I need to try:

    Dior Vetiver
    Roja Dove vetiver extrait

I love vetiver. Each one brings out different facets of this complex material. I recently picked up Etro Vetiver, and though a bit short in longevity, really pushes the rubber note in vetiver. Chantecaille is another new one that's actually quite good. Of course Sycomore and Encre Noire. Sycomore is more opulent, shimmery, luxurious, with a touch of caramel in its resinous vetiver. Encre Noire plays up the rubber again, with a nod to India ink and latex paint. It's more perfumey, perhaps less sophisticated than Sycomore, but similar. Vetiver Extraordinaire is great. A stark portrait of vetiver's cedar-lemon axis. Must get that one. Whatever vetiver is in Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver is lost to my nose. I find it generic. Carven is good, sweet and fresh. Guerlain pushes the grassy facet, I always get a horse piss note (not unpleasant) from it. The middle and drydown very sweet. And despite all recommendations, I've yet to try Givenchy Vetyver. I should just buy it online as a birthday present for myself and be done with it.

I'm not really into vetivers. I have tried a lot of vetivers, somehow I can't enjoy them.

Montale Red Vetyver is the only one I enjoy wearing it. I wish I know what should I try next. Maybe something that present the vetiver note (almost) the same way as Red Vetyver. I just know what has vetiver in it, But I can't find which one uses the same presentation as Red Vetyver.

To my nose, Vetiver Incenso by Pharmacia SS Annunziata is a drier presentation of the RV and Terre d'Hermes theme.
ointments and perfume delight the heart....

Currently wearing: Sauvage by Christian Dior

Givenchy Eau de Vetyver (vintage) has the best scent of any I've tried. If only it lasted a bit longer and was easier to find.

I haven't yet tried the re-release in the tall bottle...

    Nice to see you back

Black Vetiver by Phaedon hasn't garnered much attention but is a lovely, lemony, slightly smoky new one worth trying.

Bois de Vetiver - Jacques Bogart

Eau de Vetyver - Lanvin, (I refer to the vintage release in the octagonal flacon, not the dreadful newer stuff from 2003)

    A good one often overlooked.

I really love both Roja Dove's Vetiver and Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver. And now, according to some reports, the latter may be enjoyed in EDT concentration.
