Default Date night and beginner fragrances

Hey basenotes community! First time posting as a new member and I have just started getting into the fragrance game as I am just starting my small collection. I wear mainly light aquatic scents (nautica voyage, CK aqua, cool water) as I live in the south but I have been looking to mix it up with some different scents for night or dates. Out of some fragrances I sampled at the mall armani code, D&G the one, gucci guilty, and bleu de chanel are a few that I really enjoyed. I have not explored many niche fragrances yet, also I am a college student so I have a limited budget (I hear creed aventus a lot) lol What are your recommendations? What do you wear for dates or a night out?

    Thanks for reading!

I think two great ones that anyone starting out should try for dates/nights out are Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male and YSL's La Nuit de L'homme.

I see everyone is listing designer fragrances

I'd have to say that for designer fragrances, Chanel Allure Homme or it's flanker, Allure Homme Sport would work well, as well as Dior Homme. Dolce & Gabbana The One, and Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue are both delightful choices as well.

For a Niche, having A*Men by Thierry Mugler, Creed Aventus - Creed Original Vetiver would be suitable.

How about adding Ferragamo Black Pour Homme among the list of the above mentioned frags

Both The One and Bleu are solid choices in my opinion. I own both and wear them regularly. You might want to check out the following as well:
Dior Homme Sport (ginger, lemon, iris)
Dior Homme (lots of iris in this one, sophisticated)
Dior Homme Intense (a darker, stronger, slightly sweeter version of the original)
Guerlain Homme/Intense (mojito vibe, boozy, lime, mint)
L'Eau d'Issey (very versatile warm weather fragrance, classic)

If you're willing to spend a little more seek out Creed's Virgin Island Water, Green Irish Tweed, Millesime Imperial and Aventus.

    +1 Gucci pour Homme II
$20-$50 isn't going to get you most of the scents recommended including GPH2. Just sayin.

Good point, i might look for some used or split, some sales or discounts might have some of the designer 1oz marked down.
