    Default Montale coffret

    Hey guys and gals,
Montale offers now a coffret with three 20 ml bottles of any of their perfumes, to be combined whichever way you fancy. It costs 70 € and it is what I personally have been waiting for for a long time now, seeing as the 50 ml bottles are not available anymore. I don't need 100 ml of any Montale, but in this format it's very appealing...

Great way for people who aren't familiar with their fragrances to sample a select few.

Sounds good. Are they shipping internationally again?

They ship to a number of countries, but I didn't check if the USA or Canada was included...

EDIT: apparently they don't ship to North America, sorry.

I wonder if Luckyscent or any other US places will carry it here, domestically...

I noticed this too when I was last on their site. For me though, it could be better - e.g. perhaps they could provide sample sets (at a cost of course) for the vast majority of us in the UK that can't get to try their scents here as they have no representative.

That said, the three 20ml size bottles could be useful if you know the scent but don't want the full size bottle, as the OP already mentioned.

Wonder if you can order the whole collection this way. 'Sorry about your wallet'.

    Mine arrived last week .....

Thoroughly positive experience all round. Arrived in just two days, they were communicative throughout, and also included free samples with the order. Excellent idea and first class customer service. Highly recommended .

Thanks for sharing that, Jon. Looks quite good. I'm tempted, but haven't a clue where to start and which scents to order. Which did you go for?

Also, did you get any pouches with these?

I went for White Aoud, Blue Amber, and Sandflowers. No pouches with my order.

Thanks, Jon. I take it you rate all of them quite highly?
I'm intrigued by White Aoud and Sandalflowers. Might also be tempted for Attar.

Mmmm... your blue amber isn't in a blue bottle like the original one, that's a shame.

This one has monster longevity, projection and sillage. Highly recommend it.

I am not the biggest fan of Attar. The sandalwood kills it for me. I own and love Black, Dark, Musk, Lime, Red, Royal and Wild Aoud, and Red Vetyver.

Is the Sandalwood too strong or not creamy enough for you, Lloyd? What is so bad about it?

In my very subjective opinion, the sandalwood muffles the rose and takes away the spiciness of the oud, altogether the composition feels a little musty to me.
