    Default Drakkar Noir (Vintage)

I've fallen head over heels for this one! My bottle is the aerosol spray version. Two questions: How does this compare to the original (green) Drakkar? And what other eighties (high quality) frags smell similar to it besides Caesars?

I also have the Aerosol vintage spray version (25ml bottle that is) which smells indeed way deeper, heavier and mossier than current formulation.
Besides Caesar's you can try Duc de Vervins or Lomani pour homme as alternatives to 'Drakkar Noir' like fragrances.
My Top '10' : (In no particular order)

    - Dolce & Gabbana: Pour Homme (vintage)
    - Annick Goutal: Ambre Fetiche
    - Loewe: Esencia/Pour Homme/Solo
    - Davidoff: Leather Blend Edp
    - Revillon R
    - MPG: Santal Noble
    - Acqua di Parma: Colonia Intensa Oud
    - Histoires de Parfums: 1740 Marquis de Sade
    - Pal Zileri: Cuoio
    - YSL: Kouros (Fraicheur)

Apart from Duc de Vervins, English Blazer by Yardley is another alternative (without being a cheap or too identical copy) of Drakkar Noir, also unexpectedly good quality for its affordable price.

my 25ml bottle sports the writing "GuyLaroche 1989" , I wonder if it's the first reformulation after 1982.

I agree, English Blazer is the closest scent to Drakkar Noir I've come across, though they are distinguishable.
