This is so subjective. For me anything with prominent oak moss has that effect. For others any sort of powdery feeling seems old, like Guerlain Homme which feels thoroughly modern to me. I've heard the same about patchouli and seen many refer to LIDGE and even Aventus as old man scents.

OK I'll play though it is very subjective though I agree with many of the previous posters. I'll put an X next to the ones I still like and wear now and then
Brut X - rarely but EVERY now and then
    British Sterling
    Canoe X
Varon Dandy X - very rarely but will
    Habit Rouge
Several Bay Rums - don't have any currently but may get one because I love it and used to wear it now and then
    Quorum X
    Tabac
Old Spice X - VERY rarely but it is a nice scent on many people
Agua Lavanda X - now and then
English Leather X - I have it have worn it maybe 2 times in 2 years - my dad wore it and one of my older students who died suddenly (at 57) used to wear it and it smelled great on them - it smells horrid on me though (at least I think it does)

Dana English Leather is the "oldest" smelling one I've come across.
It makes the even older Dana Canoe seem young and perky.

Unfortunately I do get an overly mature vibe from LIDGE, though I still like it.

Many i recognize as elegant rather than old. But i don't enjoy strong tobacco and menthe notes and that is the line for me. Givenchy gentleman is one i don't like.

Hugely subjective. I get an old man vibe from Invasion Barbare, for whatever reason. Sartorial and Bois du Portugal would be high on my list as well.

Oh boy so many. And I guess the term "old" can mean so many diff things. Ill take old as in a negative perspective,. Like dated. And just sorta how sometimes when you smell someone it reminds of you of being a kid and someone wearing cologne and being smelly. Not in a bad way mind you just not in a .. good way lol. and not old as in a "older" or more "manly" sorta smell. Anyway to many to name but oldest thing ive smelled more recently was cartier declaration

"Salvador Dali pour Homme" smells not only like an old man but like an evil old man! It's like finding out that your grandpa is a serial killer!

My daughter said Aramis was an old man smell.
I think Lapidus PH and Costume National Homme both have a "musty" quality that could be old man, or inside an old person's home.
And even my beloved VanCleef and Arpels PH... I can see it being interpreted as having an older man vibe. Not one for the younger crowd.
