Default Le Male collector editions - how long are they produced for?

Do these get produced for longer than the year or so they came out in?

For example, I got a Scuba Diver edition recently from a seemingly reputable place, and the code matches in at least 3 different areas, however the date came up as from 2010 on checkcosmetic and checkfresh, and I contacted for JPG and part of the response I got is 'According to the batch code provided, your LE MALE Natural Spray is about 4 years old.'

...but it came out in 2007, right? What gives?

Was the Scuba Diver edition produced from 2007 or so until at least 2010?

I don't know what the deal is, :/.

2015 Edit: I saw a post on Facebook involving a Scuba Diver type. I put code in a site and it came up with a 2007 year/date. While mine still came up with a 2010 date. So, I went ahead and contacted JPG again. Well, I got another response from JPG!

So, the Scuba Diver type was maybe produced(?) from 2006/2007 to 2010? That might blow a hole in the specific year limited edition stuff.

Which leads me to another question... What year did Le Male get reformulated in? 2012? 2011? Or? (in regards to the perhaps noticeable drop 'lately' with projection - where there has maybe been talk online about it; Le Male being weaker or whatever).

I don't know for sure , but my guess is that the special edition releases have short production runs but might linger on shelves or stay in inventory for a longer period of time, so when one actually purchases one, a longer than normal time might have passed from when it was produced.

Hrm, I don't know why it'd come up as a 2010 if it was only 2007 (or so).

I purchased from overstock.com, and it came with a Macy's sticker on the bottom of it. Was sealed with perforated plastic, all 3 of the codes match.

    I don't understand :/

It is pretty strange, I agree. I personally don't put too much credence in those check sites. They are notorious for making mistakes.

But I got a response after I contacted JPG which mentions that is it 'about 4 years old.'

Haha. Dunno what the deal is.

If any of you have the Scuba Diver type or another collector type, can you PLEASE post the code in this thread?

Checkcosmetic seems to be very unreliable. I would easily take the word of JPG over that site. I think they produce the novelty editions for a while or at least they release the same bottles once a year. I have seen the superman version at the mall here for the last 2 years.
