Default Most worn in March and First Quarter of 2014

Good morning, fellow fragrance nerds & nerdettes! Since I have busy days ahead and will keep on wearing what I'm wearing today, my stats are ready to roll and they look like this.

    March
    10 Premier Figuier
    5 Messe de Minuit, Sublime
    4 Mauboussin
3 Eau de Charlotte, Piper Nigrum, Yerbamate
    2 Musc Ravageur

I could hardly believe how lucky I was when I won a bottle of Premier Figuier in its 20th Anniversary competition, it also happened to be a perfect match for the weather (it was unusually "springy" in early March here in Helsinki) so I got stuck with it for over a week. My old spring favourite Eau de Charlotte also fit the weather and my mood perfectly. For ages Sublime has been a scent I wear rarely and wonder why that is because I love it. Now I have decided to wear it more often, because it always feels so right. Messe de Minuit is another scent that celebrates its 20th birthday this year, and since it's one of hub's favourites and we're celebrating our 20th anniversary next week, I have started a MdM marathon which will continue in April.

    First Quarter
    10 Premier Figuier
    7 Sublime
    6 Fleurs d’Oranger
5 Eau de Charlotte, L’Air de Rien, Messe de Minuit
    4 Louve, Mauboussin, New York

During the first three months of this year I was craving for orange blossoms, and it shows here.

What did you wear most during this period?

    Most worn in March:
    1. Sous Le Vent
    2. Cuir de Russie
    3. Mon Jasmine Noir
    4. Lady Vengeance
    5. Patchouli
Plus many more worn once. It was a nice mix of feminine fragrances and bold patchoulis IMHO.

In the first quarter of 2014 it was Guerlain Cologne Imperiale. I'm never wearing the same fragrance twice lately, so it's hard to do a most worn, but we faced a very hot summer here and everytime after bath i reached for Cologne Imperiale freshness - so much that it was the first bottle i drained in two-three years

I don't keep stats, but off the top of my head:

    L'Heure Bleue (at night)
    Parfum Sacre (at night)
    Shalimar
    Mitsouko
Une Fleur de Cassie (X4 from a sample)
    VC&A Bois D'Iris
    Chanel No. 19
    Cristalle
Eau des Merveilles (for 2 day trips to the beach)
    Un Jardin Mediterranee
    Une Rose Chypree
    Incense Rose
    Gris Clair

March has been warm, then freezing, then warm again, and then freezing cold again. Which means I wore a mixture of "warm" and "cool" fragrances.

I tried to nudge March toward spring with aldehydes; taken together there were 15wearings from amongst these: Chanel N°22, Guerlain Vega, Arpège, Infini, and Miss Balmain.

    Top three for March were:
•Véga, my happy birthday to me pressy, 8
    •Diorella, 4
    •Chanel N° 22, 3

For the quarter, receiving at least 4 wearings, and comprising about half of the days in the quarter:
    •Véga, 8
    •Amarige, 7
    •Balahé, 7
    •Mollie Parnis, 6
    •Diorella, 6
    •Flambeau, 5
    •L'Heure Bleue, 5
    •Weil de Weil, 4

Balahé just might be my favorite oriental at this moment, and I do like orientals in the winter. Flambeau is another spicy warm fragrance for the cold weather, and Amarige just makes me happy.

Forcast, more florals and aldehydic fragrances for spring, along with the greener amongst chypres.
What do insomniac perfumers do to fall asleep? They count chypres!

In March, I had two repeats: Angel and Daim Bond. Daim Blond is brand new, and I'm still infatuated with it.

I'm really craving Spring and my fragrance choices showed it ... more florals and lighter scents than I usually wear.
    I've trademarked the color bleu

You're welcome, I've been posting these threads for ten years now so it's almost second nature.

Don't have the slightest idea. Can't imagine keeping records of how many times I've worn a fragrance.
