I have to go with Zagorsk at my number 1 spot, Ouarzazate at number 2. Zagorsk is an piney incense, cool, calm and collected. Ouarzazate, warm hot sands with a cup of tea and incense burning in the background. Both are great, if I was to choose one, I'd go with Zagorsk. Avignon is the standout, however, I find it too stark and sharp...feels real almost not like something to wear.

Voted for Avignon and Kyoto, but I wear Avignon and Zagorsk. Kyoto is too evocative. Smells of Buddhist temples and graveyards.

Either Avignon or Zagorsk. With that said, beside Ouarzazate which is the one I liked the least, I find all of them to be pretty darned solid.

Thanks for all the responses. So far I have tried Avignon, Kyoto and Zagorsk. My wife doesn't like Kyoto so that's out. I really like Avignon and will pick up a bottle of that, though I do agree the literalness/coldness of the scent borders on unwearable (I don't care). I am also testing Zagorsk more and have a feeling that might be my number 2. The other two I will get to sampling but per the voting it looks like I picked the right ones to try first.

Something about Jaisalmer smells joyous to me, so it was one of my 2 picks, with Avignon being the other.

I like them all, but Avignon and Jaisalmer are favorites. I like the depth and woods of Avignon and the patchouli light quality of Jaisalmer.

I concur exactly, even about Jaisalmer smelling joyous. It does!

I don't like the Incense Series, but if I was forced to choose one I would probably pick ZAGORSK.

I went for Zagorsk first, the others are on the exact same plan to me. It's a quality line, an interesting and well developed concept with a clear connection. And, nonetheless each one has its own personality and evolution (Montale anyone?). Perhaps Ouarzazate is the most challenging one to me.

I tested Blue Encens today and really liked it but found the performance to be abysmal. However I see comparisons of it to Jaisalmer. If Jaisalmer is essentially a longer lasting/better performing Blue Encens I think I will like that one a lot. Zagorsk turned out not to be for me, but I am still getting Avignon.

Has anyone tried both Blue Encens/Jaisalmer? Thoughts on performance of each and scent comparison? Thanks in advance.

I agree with you - all the "Blue" line has a pretty short longevity. Speaking of Blue Incense in particular I found it something slightly more interesting than a cologne, quite breezy and balsamic but smoky and woody at the same time. Jaisalmer is a surely bolder and darker, to me it smells like a lighter, spicier and sweeter version of Avignon (the fruits, the amber).

No more Avignon - too much ISO E SUPER or whatever that note is.

    Much prefer Cardinal.
