Kind of expensive for that sort of job, though, so I'd recommend cheapie powerhouses. Drakkar Noir, Salvador Dali Pour Homme, Kouros. You can buy these all for under $30 and they last all day. Some of the suggestions above surprised me - you probably don't want to smell like lemon cake or a dainty flower when working in construction or sewer plant - you want something BIG and BOLD, an old school powerhouse, from when fragrances were made to fill a room and almost choke everyone in it. Those are the only ones that will stand out to the environment you described, heat and sweat, and last a full day with ease.
You scared me when you mentioned AMOUAGE,its wayyyyyyyy to expensive for my type of work, now your second paragraph said it all, thank you....

Anything from Xerjoff, Puredistance M, Creed Windsor, Amouage Beloved, Montales....
You might as well not wear anything if you dont wear these.

Surprised no one said this yet:

Lush - Dirty (the body spray)

Don't go too heavy on the trigger and you will get all day longevity plus the mint should help keep you fresh in that line of work. Cheap too.

I would add Van Cleef & Arpels pour Homme to the list & +1 Azzaro Pour Homme.

My ol' man as welder, (stinking of soot, scorched fabric & roasted skin) has sworn by Brut his whole life.

I enjoy Azzaro PH immensely, but I can't see how people are recommending it as an all-day wear. Maybe in vintage form but definitely not the current version. Agree with Kouros (even current) and Rive Gauche PH.

I'll also throw out Chanel Antaeus. Kind of straddles the price line (not exactly cheap but not super expensive either). I'm guessing some may not think it fits your line of work, but in my view it's certainly an all-day scent and very masculine. Gets a bit powdery in the dry down but you may want to get a sample. I've seen it recently at Nordstrom. Good luck.

Man I envy your concept of "economical", lol.

However +1 on any '80s powerhouse, most of them are still cheap today.

I didn't even think about this one! Great suggestion. The body spray has outstanding performance and is perfect for the situation.

This whole thread is a joke right? I was just playing along.
If you work at a sewage treatment plant then you will be perpetually covered in the smell of boiling feces. You probably have to shave your head constantly because it soaks into the fibers of your hair. You should not bother wearing anything.
If you are doing actual construction work you are going to be covered in dust and sweat so dont bother there either. You are probably going to get made fun of for showing up in the morning wearing cologne also. I would never stop busting your balls.

he does, that's why if you wear anything keep it "just freshy" almost after shavish - in fact Cool Wave by Gilette would be another one you could get away with if you want to wear something
