Chanel No 5 lately, and Zahd!
Thread: Damn, I smell good!
Lol, that thought crosses my mind all the time, with everything I wear! Right now it's Creed Fleurs de Bulgarie - I was literally just thinking how wonderful it smells. Yesterday I did the same thing with both 1932 and 31 Rue Cambon, and the day before that it was Mimosa Pour Moi. I'm not saying it always takes me by surprise, but it *always* happens.
Science is not only compatible with spirituality, it is a profound source of spirituality. When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages, when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling, that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual. ..Carl Sagan
Happens with about 95% of the fragrances I wear.
Do you work for Profumum?
For me, Grain de Plaisir -- the first 20 minutes especially
Usually something I have forgotten I have reached for in my stash!
Remember that while it is perfectly acceptable to criticize the content of a post - criticizing the poster is not.
Mean spirited, nasty, snide, sarcastic, hateful, and rude individuals on Basenotes don't warrant or deserve my or other Basenoters' acknowledgement or respect.
Anything from my bottes collection - I only buy and keep bottles which make me think precisely that (this is why I've less than 20 ).
In particular: Daim Blond, Oxford & Cambridge, Cuir Ottoman, Bois d'ascèse, Ambre Russe, Patchouli Nobile, Mitsouko, and chances are, the newest addition - vintage Ettore Bugatti EDT.

By Killian Incense Oud does that for me every time. Tuscan leather does too, but II've worn it too frequently now for it to be a 'surprise'.
I thought this when I was wearing Boadicea Seductive. Then a gorgeous co-worker said "Somebody has taken a medicine here." Kinda killed it. For a millisecond. Then the thought returned.
It is usually the ones I have not worn in a bit. They remind me of why I bought them in the first place.
"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it."
"I've been everywhere but the electric chair seen everything but the wind."..
For me, HdP 1889 Moulin Rouge, Cuir Ottoman or Armani Prive Cuir Amethyste.
"...her fragrance all in my keeping; softly she comes in the night." Lyrics, Gordon Lightfoot, "Softly."
I wore Jicky parfum today and thought I smelled pretty damn good.
For me, it's the Chergui dry down.
Today it was Coromandel.
I recently got a bottle of one of my holy grails, Equipage. And yes, damn I smell good is what I think every time I put it on.

Last night I tried a sample of Sycomore and the exact same thought crossed my mind a number of times
Black Aoud - very strange and unique
I would have to say memoir man and pardon by nassomatto
For me, the respective fragrances include most likely: Knize Ten, YSL Rive Gauche, Versace l'Homme, among others.
I was just thinking this. Wearing Tom Ford Champaca Absolute today. Chanel Beige and Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille make me feel like that, too.
Recently got this feeling with Fils de Dieu du Riz et des Agrumes by Etat Libre d'Orange. Reminded me A LOT of vintage Shalimar for some reason.
Dior Vetiver does this for me lately, as does Amouage Dia Man for the first few hours.
Every single time I wear Sarrasins or L'Heure Bleue. I think lots of fragrances make me smell good, but few make me smell damn good.
Vintage Armani by Armani every time I put it on. Vintage Yendi too.
I've thinking that way with Dzing but nobody around me shares that point of view… so I tuck it away again for some time, then re-find it and wear it all over again to get that ponky hit I love from it. Maybe that's a personal thing. I doubt my judgement increasingly for the 'damn' bit if no-one else agrees.
Chanel egoiste cologne concentree makes me think that, always has :-)
