    Default Elements by Hugo Boss

    (NOT Hugo Element)

I just remembered this stuff today. I used to love it! I can remember what it smells like, but can't describe it. I almost want to go to the mall and sniff some just to see if I'm still into it.

Wow - I thought the bottle for "Element" was funky (like a gas lecture bottle), but that one for "Elements" is even funkier! I thought Element was rather marginal. The marketing blurb called it "woody", but if so, then it must be "oceanwood" or something like it!

Really nice fragrance, a solid piece of virile fruity chypre with aromatic herbs, perfumed woods, moss and an heady orangy plum.

I loved this stuff too but is it discontinued?

I still own two bottles of Elements. I don't like it in winter, but is great any other time of the year.
I think it suffers from not being great in wrist testing or paper testing, compared to how it actually develops when wearing it.

I personally like this fragrance- classic citrus and chypre, even some leather notes, very classy but not overpowering nor dated. One of the better Boss fragrances in my opinion.

    Personally never cared for this.

Nice fruity frag launched way ahead of the fruity-frag trend. I dont know why i always smell/feel something aquatic(?) in it that's similar to whatever is in Cool Water. I need to seek out my "vaulted" bottle.

Yep a friend of mine always used to ask if I was wearing Cool Water when wearing this. I actually think this is a bit more spicey with a bit of a metallic smell to it.

It had a mineral aspect that I liked. Apart from that it was ok but nothing to get crazy about, imo. Ranks fourth, after Boss Sport, Number One and Spirit. To me only those three are worth hunting for when it comes to Boss fragrances.
