    Default Montale Nepal Aoud

So another one in the Montale Aoud series...10006923_548959735215047_8548188889468269951_n.jpg

    http://montaleparfums.com/en/3-aoud?id=186

A Majestic Nepalese Aoud in a radiant spicy cloud of Nutmeg and Saffron from Kashmir, laid on a beautiful heart of Bulgarian Rose and intense Ambery Notes, leaves a very seductive sillage of precious Leather, sensual White Musk and subtle Vanilla.

So much oud coming out of Montale... What's next, Moon Oud?? Oh wait... never mind... they already did that one, too.

    Mars Oud?

    Andromeda Galaxy Oud?

    Battlestar Galactica Oud?

    <sigh>

I like many types of oud, but what Montale is doing with these hundreds of micro-variations is just maddening. There aren't enough days in a year to try one release per day...

If you're inclined to sample it, try it out. You might be pleasantly surprised. Have had a bottle for a while now - really nice. Not your typical Montale oud. Gave a short first impression on a thread in the MFF.

Still, if you can't remember it... your post is of use for sure.

Ordered a sample of it. Any other thoughts since you've had it in your possession? I must admit that I want that white and gold Montale bottle - not that I'm so superficial, ha ha. I really do love the whole Montale presentation, though. Not a fancy bottle, very utilitarian in its concept. But the nice lettering, the metallic colors, the silky pouch included, etc. all add up to a classy tactile and visual experience. For me, it's that nice little bauble that dangles off the clip for the sprayer - it just seals the deal somehow.

Just that what I think I seem to like the best about this release is the nice long spicy dry down of saffron ,nutmeg, and leather which I get, and the fact that the oud opening never as loud as in other releases, pleasantly and quietly retreats. Hope you find it to your liking.

    Favorable first impression from sampling.
This oud is a lover and not a fighter. Zing of saffron and then the cushion-y spice blend. Didn't get the rose from this first meeting, but a generous spraying from a bottle would probably expose it. The dab on my arm applied late in the evening morphed into a cascade of middle and base notes that was still discernable upon waking today.

Didn't come through for me either even with a full spray.

I just got today my FB of Nepal Aoud.
I own many Montale bottles , this one is , for my nose, the best of them.

Amazing balance between dry Aoud and sweet amber - surrounded with air-y cloud of spices and supported with half dirty muted leather.

    A must try !

Glad you found it to your liking. Think they hit a home run with this one.

Received mine today and I like it. Of course typically Montale, but still very nice and a good addition to the series.

I bypassed this one, as I was worried about the Rose hear note.

Now it seems I should at least sample it.

I'm hoping the vanilla shines through too.
My frag list top ten (which changes pretty regular!)
    1- Creed Royal Oud
    2- Armani Prive Oud Royal
3- Acqua di Parma Oud concentree
    4- Bvlgari Man in Black
    5- Amouage Fate Man
    6- Nasomatto Duro
7- Jean Paul DuPont Oud d'or
8- Ormonde Jayne Nawab of Oudh
    9- Geurlain HOMME IDEAL
    10- Shay&blue Oud Alif

    (Yes, I'm an Oud addict!)

Tried this yesterday and must say I'm a fan. It has the Montale DNA but feels very restrained and balanced. The rose is subtle and the overall feel is smooth and somewhat textured, rather than bombastic and syrupy like other Montales.
