Default Help me out on leathers!

Since leather-based fragrances is rising in term of popularity around here. And I want to try more of it. Can you guys suggest some for me?

So far I have sampled these:
Imaginary Authors The Cobra and The Canary Love it!
Tauer Perfumes Lonestar Memories Good, if there's no 'Tauer's vibe' I'd see this as 'ok'
Dior Farenhiet Just ok to me
Tom Ford Tuscan Leather Very nice. A tad too pricey.
Van Cleef & Arpels Midnight In Paris Too sweet.
Juicy Couture Dirty English Very very good. even it being cheep.
ELDO Rein In a love-hate relationship with this one.
Hermes Bel Ami Like it. But not enough to get a full bottle. May sample it soon.
    Aramis Na-ah
Puredistance M Smell some similarity to Bel Ami on this one, far superior, Like it very much but the price tag though...

What have I missed? Which one should I come back to it later when I grow a better taste in fragrance?

    Thank you in advance BN-gentlemen!

Also if you like Tuscan Leather, yet find it too pricey there is a very similar and more affordable alternative in Charles Street by Mark Birley.

A couple more that I forgot about... if you want a leather note, but not a harsh version of it, 2 of the best "smooth" leathers are:

    Armani Prive Cuir Noir
Guerlain Cuir Beluga (a slightly feminine/soft leather soaked in Spiritueuse Double Vanille)

So many to try, and great suggestions already.

    I'd single out:
Knize Ten: a classic reference, butch leather with an automotive vibe
Bandit: another butch s&m leather, with sharp green notes
Tom of Finland: at the other end, supersmooth suede with saffron and lemon
Chanel Cuir de Russie: another smooth one, with iris and flowers

I'll second especially Derby, Knize Ten, Leather Oud, and Chanel Cuir de Russie which are all among my favourite leathers. Two other wonderful - and yet unmentioned - leathers are Nicolaï New York and Santa Maria Novella Peau d'Espagne.

I was going to mention this. Tried it yesterday at Neiman's, and it's quite nice. Amiable and modern, but not cheap or harsh. The guaiac wood in the base is nice, too.

What kind of leather scent are you actually looking for? What's your budget? Something edgy or weird? - Nostalgia by SMN. Something refined? XJ Homme. Something rugged? Knize Ten. So far everything you've tried hasn't been working for you or it's more than what you want to spend.

Also L`Essence de Cerutti is an excellent saffron/leather scent with good longevity and polite sillage, similar to Tom of Finland for MUCH cheaper!

    Thanks for the suggestions guys!

First I want to sample them all. If I like it (or love it) I just gonna save up and buy it.

I said that Tuscan Leather is a bit too pricey because I feel like it should be better for that price tag. If it's good (for me) for it's pricetag I'd go for it already.

I'll try to find and sample those suggested. Thank you again =)

My favorite is DEF Derby!!!! It is an exquisite, elegant, aristocratic leather scent.

I have tried Cuir Ottoman, Leather Oud, and Knize Ten as well. Ottoman was just ok and to my nose gave of a rubber accord. Leather Oud was decent, but it wore me out quickly...wet, dirty, and has Oud...didn't love the combination...found myself wishing it was just leather, or just Oud. Knize Ten was my favorite of these three, has an old type of elegance, but very very LEATHERY.

    Like I said...definitely Derby!

    amber + leather + incense

    combos out there...

Some thing similar to Annick Goutal Ambre Fetiche which to my nose combines the amber leather and incense in one superb package.

    Suggestions would be nice

I'm surprised no one here has mentioned Cabochard by Grès, it was a leather originally marketed to women years ago (much like Cuir de Russie by Chanel and Tabac Blond by Caron) but is really more masculine IMO. It's the only time I've encountered a "fruity leather", if that makes any sense?

All of the three above mentioned are excellent IMHO.

I know Leather Oud is loved 'round these parts. But I had to return mine after sampling it twice because the skank overpowered leather 3/4 of the time that I wore it.

+1 for Cobra and the canary
    +1 for hard leather
Montale Aoud Leather for a TF Tuscan Leather alternative.

    1) MDCI Invasion Barbare

    Or Black (vintage)
Bel Ami (preferably vintage) - Much more of an actual leather fragrance than the meager, sweetened leather of the relatively cluttered Puredistance M (a decent fragrance)
    Songe d'un Bois d'Ete
    Knize Ten (preferably vintage)
    Yatagan (preferably vintage)
    Onda Extrait (vintage)
    Aramis (preferably vintage)

    Oud Cuir d'Arabie

    Vie de Chateau Intense

    Arsene Lupin Dandy
    S-eX

Still smells great but leather in Derby is homeopathic these days. More of a lightly smoked wood soap.
