What better way to start off June than with a gift for my eldest daughter - Souffle Intime by Paul Emilien 100ml EDP

I snatched up 2 x BNIB cellophane sealed bottles of vintage tin can Rive Gauche, so I'm set for life on this. Set me back $25 a pop.

    Couple of cheapies.

    Boss Bottled Night
    YSL L'homme Libre

Roughly £20 each so happy with that. A few samples of more expensive stuff as well.

Haha..funny! We have a small selection of fragrances here. I was honestly shocked to see Rive Guache. I picked up their last 2 bottles. They had an opened damaged 3 bottle that was a return. I wanted to pick it up as well but the manager wasn't there to give me a discount on it. Might come back later for it.

Default Today I Bought: June 2014

I haven't got a buy to report yet this month. I had a very nearly buy, however. In fact I walked to the till with it, then changed my mind at the last minute. The lady serving was a trifle consternated at my hasty retreat, so I returned seconds later to buy a damaged chocolate mouse at 30% discount (one only. The head had come off).

Anyway, the nearly-bought scent was Tisserand Cedar Oil Roll-on. Unfortunately the coconut oil base didn't seem to me to blend well with the cedar notes. 'A walk through Calke Abbey grounds' it was not. I've been, and there are definitely no coconut trees there. Plus I didn't like the greasy blob on my wrist.

I couldn't find a Tisserand thread so put this here but mods, feel free to delete. That said, I just remembered I have another vintage bottle of Versace L'Homme in transit, so I'll put that in as well to make it kosher

Good to know I am not the only person who panic buys stuff just to make cashiers happy - I do it especially if I've been browsing aimlessly for over an hour, I feel like I should somehow "compensate" them for having to watch me. This behaviour makes no sense whatsoever!

Good pass on the Tisserand - they have good essential oils, but from what I can remember, the only other thing they were known for was their tea tree facial wash, which was good on spotty adolescent skin. But perfume? Nah....

The cashier was (I think) a National Trust volunteer, so the guilt factor is magnified, naturally.

The Tisserand range is a new one, in association with the NT. See here:

    http://www.tisserand.com/category_s/1910.htm

They are only £7.50 a pop. I might try the citrus one. I can't imagine any of the others working well with the coconut base.

On topic: my Versace L'Homme arrived. Yay!

Guerlain Terracotta le parfum and the matching dry oil. Getting ready to pre-order Aedes Oeillet Bengale, CdG Wisteria Hysteria and Serpentine. I also bought Olfactive Studios Chambre Noir last week but don't want to dig up the May thread now that we are in June.
