Default How similar are Aramis Aramis and Salvador Dali pour Homme?

    Hi Everyone,

I have a bottle of Aramis Aramis on the way to perfume cabinet. This is a blind buy, and I've ordered the concentree version, as some say this is closer to the original Aramis Aramis before the reformulation.

I have been reading a few reviews etc. etc. and am quite intrigued by the Salvador Dali pour homme as well. I had almost ordered, but realized that there are a few similarities in the notes between Aramis Aramis and Salvador Dali pour homme.

So my question to you all is:

How similar are the Aramis Aramis and the Salvador Dali pour Homme? \

    Thanks!

Have tried the former and own the latter and at least to me, different.

No particular similarity in terms of notes, however somehow similar in another detail: both are, although in very different ways, uncommonly strong.

    I own both. Nothing alike.

Even though both feature strong florals for a "masculine" as well as notes that may be perceived as "leather," they are not very similar. The strong castoreum note in SDPH in particular sets it apart from most vintage scents. The florals are also quite different. I've heard SDPH has been reformulated badly so if you decide to buy a bottle you might want to consider that possibility.

Thanks hednic, Ken_Russell and renato - good to know they're rather different.

Bigsly - I'm glad you mentioned that - the last thing I want to be saddled with is a poorly reformulated version of an original. Any tips on how to differentiate the original SDPH from the reformulation?

    Thanks!
