Honest to God, I didnt know who this way off scenter dude was, but reading those new reviews, and a lot of them, in a short time span, i was thinking, "this noob's pretty excellent."

Didnt realise he was a respected former poster here.

Welcome back Vibert! as others have said your reviews were excellent and I will be glad to have them back as a reference.

Am I missing something re your 'misdemeanours'? I don't remember seeing anything controversial and it would be good to see new contribution from you.

Way Off Scenter - thanks for putting your reviews back up! Your reviews are a treasured repository of clear analysis and carefully considered opinion filtered through your world class knowledge of the natural world of plants and flowers. Anyone Googling these fragrances will be thrilled to encounter your writings. Again, thank you for reposting. I know its a lot of work to do - but worth it.

I often question a lot of his reviews for a number of reasons, but he's done a good job of making them sound convincing to those who may not know better. :-) Andrew writes well and I appreciate that.

The more reviews the better. One way to think of it is as the old story of the three blind men and the elephant.

(echoing Mistertaz) Of the many outstanding reviews and reviewers here, it was yours in particular that really 'grabbed me by the short hairs' when this out of left field obsession struck a few years ago. I've always wanted to say thanks. Very good to see you here again!!

    Dear Way Off Scenter,

I am looking for a scent that smells like "just mowed the lawn or just mowed the grass" the grassy smell. I've tried everything, Demeter, and others.
Nothing seems to be what I am looking for. Could you recommend something to me? Thank you!

In the meantime, I will be respectfully bowing out of any further participation on the various boards, as my track record suggests I have difficulty maintaining appropriate demeanor in my public communications.

My best to the entire Basenotes crew!

his reviews are great - does he review somewhere else or something now? How can some one with such great reviews just stop doing it?

    Thanks
