    Default Paco Rabanne Pour Homme

I cant find anything that epitomizes the quintessential fragrance for man as Paco PH does. Simply glorious, uncomplicated yet epic. It has the punch other superb iconic men fragrances lack such as Chanel PM. I have went through literally hundreds of fragrances some much better in quality, in class, in elegance, in creation, in artistry yet.... Paco is always there, like a lover you cannot forget. Before Mugler cologne, Gendarme and many other clean cut fragrances there was Paco and still is.

Most of us look for a holy grail and we never cease in our quest for that miraculous juicy that will engage us into nirvana... maybe its right there under our nose, timidly siting in a corner.

What can I say, I glorify Paco Pour Homme and I will be a faithful admire and wearer.

+1, though most people today will classify this scent as quite cheap smelling fragrance.

    The vintage is awesome.

The current juice I picked up for £12.95 recently -- couldn't resist it

I've worn it since I was in my early 20's (mid 1990s). One of the stalwarts of my collection.

Have you worn the current one yet? I haven't owned a bottle of Paco Rabanne for many years now, but I checked out the current one recently and was very disappointed. Don't want to go on a vintage/reform rant, but this one seemed to get real powdery real fast. Maybe my olfactory recollection is off, but that's certainly not how I remember it. Am I off-base here?

I have a vintage bottle and a small bottle of the current version, vintage is definitely better, but the current is still recognizable, even if it does get powdery rather quickly, the missing oakmoss doesn't help it any. I'd keep an eye out on Ebay for some vintage, mine was not terribly expensive and the search was worth it.

Just bought a bottle (made by Puig in Spain); more mellow than the vintage no doubt; (same stuff a.k.a. less punch!) Still wonderful, still timeless... love it.

To me the vintage is like a complete different fragrance compared to current (very soapy) version.
Up till 199? the (re)formulations are all worth having imo but original vintage ('73-early '80's), of course, cannot be beaten! A masterpiece!
My Top '10' : (In no particular order)

    - Dolce & Gabbana: Pour Homme (vintage)
    - Paco Rabanne: Pour Homme (vintage)
    - Loewe: Esencia/Pour Homme/Solo/7
    - YSL: Opium Pour Homme Edp
    - Jacques Bogart: Bogart Pour Homme (2004)
    - MPG: Santal Noble
    - Guerlain: Vetiver
    - Van Cleef & Arpels: Pour Homme
    - Hermes: Terre d'Hermes
    - YSL: Kouros (Fraicheur)

Or in my case, a woman's scent

My bottle originally belonged to my grandad and I got it after his death, along with his other scents. I would estimate that it's from sometime in the 80s and while my OH thinks that it smells like an old man's scent on him, he likes it on me.
