Default Vepres Siciliennes by Parfums MDCI - Any thoughts?

Parfums MDCI- Vepres Siciliennes is a peach- centric incense tinged pink chypre. This puts me in mind of Mitsouko or Chanel- 31 Rue Cambon. I just pulled the trigger and ordered a bottle. I tried a sample and fell for it. Not the first time, but after a while. Does anyone else have love for this one?

I like it too. Fruity chypre, more citrusy than peachy to my nose.
Still, my favorite in the house remains Enlevement au serail.

That one is sadly d/c but as I recall, it was just too intense for me anyway. This one is softer, more mellow. I'm happy I can get the one I prefer. Too bad about the EAS, though.

Yes, annoying that it has been discontinued. Perhaps some of the stores still have bottles.

EAS doesn't seem very intense to me - just perfect balance. But i agree that VS is somewhat more muted and less bright.

I love Vepres Siciliennes! When I was in Luckyscent last May it was a toss up between that one and Rivage des Syrtes... I ended up buying Rivage that day but Vepres is still on my to buy list!

Love the bead and tassel! Glad there is an alternative to the resin bust versions, as it wouldn't be my taste. I too have been almost there as far as punishing my wallet on something from this line. Have to re-visit and sample more.

Well I have the juice now. It is light and peachy. An interesting thing- I am layering it with Tom Ford -Grey Vetiver to wonderful effect at the moment.

Interesting combo. Are you trying to amp up the chypre character?

Yes, I seem to like it better this way, I had thought my sample had a bit more incense and a deeper base. This seems lighter and very fruity compared to my sample.
