For me I'd like to recommend:

Royal Scottish Lavender(if you can find it)
    Oxford and Cambridge
    Gris Clair

And also for an unusual take Burning Barbershop by DS & Durga.

Lots of lovely lavenders mentioned. I nominate Le Troisiemme Homme de Caron and second Gris Clair as the most suggestive.

I understand this is a cologne...how is the longevity for this in general? Seems interesting...

Gris Clair isn't just my new favorite lavender, but pretty much my most enjoyed scent of the moment. Certainly worth a sniff.

My vote goes to Oxford and Cambridge too. Wonderful spicy Lavender scent with a heavenly dry down.

Histoires de parfums Casanova is a really good one.

The most often used lavender is Oxford & Cambridge. Its not sexy as in sweet or dreamy fougere like lavender, but is minty and and medicinal which I think is sexy. I wear it when I need a healing on my skin. I also like L'Occitan PH which is a lavender fragrance with equal weight given to pepper and then woods for a darker more serious take on lavender. Annat Fritz Classical is a fantastic green fragrance, one of my spring favorites, and a top 20 fragrance for me and I didn't know it had lavender in it until I saw it recommended by Rynegne above. These three are excellent.

For the more dressed up fougere type lavender fragrance its hard to beat Penhaligon's Sartorial. Serge Lutens Encens Lavande is a super good dry transparent incense lavender, but it is very hard to find this one as I believe it is still Paris exclusive.

Lots of variety in lavender fragrances out there. Still need to try Calvin K. Euphoria - I will look for it today.

Wearing Royal Scottish Lavender right now, forgot how amazing it is! Caron PH and Vero Kern's Kiki are both nice. Patou PH Prive is one of the best lavenders. Jicky too.

Good lavenders mentioned above, but i think Lavande 44 by Rania J needs some attention. Wonderful lavender, IMO.
