    Default July Purchases

Kicked off with another two EdP's from Roullier's sale - Florascent Kyoto Tachibana & Kyoto Midori, both blind buys as sampling doesn't seem to be an option over here & the Jinko is nice.
It will be fun exploring them when they arrive

If the instructions say not to use the sprayer, from past experience, it's probably good advice

Hubby bought "us" Jo Malone Black Cedarwood and Juniper from the London Rain collection.

i purchased from a Bloomingdales store in my local mall a refillable gold bottle of Vol de Nuit. It had never been opened and has the gold and black box from the eighties. The juice was good. It must have been in the back of a drawer. The sales associate for the Guerlain counter has been on sick leave for a year. The shelves were almost empty. When I commented this was an older bottle they asked if they could get me a newer one. The answer was "No thank you this one will be fine." I feel so lucky to have this pre-reformulation bottle.

My Mitsouko edt older version is now down to the dregs!!!!! I do own the parfum but it was a panic mode for me not having just spray and go version. Ended up finding best price on ebay for 75mls edp new sealed in box. Lost out on a auction yesterday so same seller had one at BIN or Make An Offer, one offer had been rejected from someone else. My rule is usually take the shipping cost off and make that offer, it was accepted.

Currently awaiting my bottle of Bogue Maii and sample of Cologne Reloaded :-) I heard so much good things about Bogue profumo in the male forum. Glad to see another lady like Ipp appreciating Antonio's work. Btw, i would be interested to hear your review on O'driu L'inferno when you get it but i think the hype is now geared towards O'driu's upcoming Pathetique ;-)

Well done, orchid74 - I love the new Cologne Reloaded, having initially neglected the sample in favour of the Maai.

L'Inferno has arrived but I haven't had time to explore it yet. Lalfeo Oro, however, is maturing very nicely indeed and is less of a chilli bomb now

Yup - Pathetique seems to be where the action is atm

Full bottles of Jicky and Iris Prima have arrived, and I just put in an order for a new sample stash of things I'vve been itchin to try: Heeley Coccobello, PG Felanilla, Vero Perfumo Mito & Rozy, and Malle Eau de Magnolia......and just as soon as I hit "buy" I realized I forgot to order Rynegne's latest which is a must-try for me...UGH, that was dumb. Oh well, just gives me an excuse to make another sample order soon.

Blimey Puma, you don't do things by half, do you?

I had planned to not buy any perfumes during July but it kind of went a bit awry over the weekend, so I now have:

Bottega Veneta pour Homme, received as a gift

Vintage Estee Lauder Estee Super, picked up for a song to try

Geo F Trumper Spanish Leather, ditto

Vintage Miss Dior parfum, still sealed and in cellophane, for my mother's birthday

Ma Griffe parfum, vintage, to add to the PdT that I love but doesn't last very long

Molinard Patchouli Intense, which sounds very intriguing.

Full bottles are not in the budget this month ... but, I did find someone selling some decants of the new Guerlain L'Homme Ideal. It arrived the other day and reactions are mixed. I just spritzed a tiny spray to test right before going to bed. There was a sour note that really bugged me. Will definitely test again and will test on hubby soon!

Notes: citrus, rosemary, orange blossom, amaretto accord (almonds and tonka bean). leather, vetiver, cedar
    I've trademarked the color bleu

After reading the thread about Amouage watering down, decided it was time to order backups of some newer ones hopefully before they are ruined: Fate, Interlude, Ubar and Beloved. Fortunately I had already bought backups of Lyric, Epic, Gold, Jubilation 25 and Dia before the wheels fell off. I know Ubar has been reformulated but I am okay with the current formulation, never having smelled the vintage. Crossing fingers!
