Wow! That's kind of shocking. I'm actually a little apathetic to it, despite owning a small bottle, but I know quite a few people who love it.

I really wouldn't have expected that. Time to get a back up bottle I think. I don't wear this one often but it is part of fragrance history.

It's one of my favorite bottles too. The scent is great and it's quite unique... but that bottle! So cool looking. I'm normally more a fan of clean lines and minimalism, like TdH bottles, but Bvlgari Black with its rubber ring looks so frigging cool.

Must be why Von Maur stopped carrying it - one of the last chains to carry it in the US.

Sad news, but hardly unexpected. Five years ago it was next to impossible to find locally, and five years may as well be an eternity in the realm of designer fragrances.

I remember seeing it at multiple discount stores 7 years ago for cheap. Not surprised at all.

Aren't nearly all Bvlgari frags easily found at discount stores?

They have just launched Man in Black. I guess they don't want two products with "black" out there to confuse the buyers.

I've still got about 60 of the 75ml in my bottle and at 3 or 4 wears a year that should keep me going for the rest of my life.

Funny you say that, at first I thought this was about Jasmine Noir, which has a completely black bottle. (I don't know much about Bvlgari fragrances, obviously)

Also, I'm glad the Jasmine Noir isn't discontinued.

If true, sad news indeed. I have a 75 ml bottle that is close to full, but its always sad to see scents being taken off...

THIS. It's easily found on their website. Just go to fragrances > Browse By Line. It's the second one listed. Or Browse By Gender > MAN > View All or page 2. Black - Eau De Toilette Spray 75ml

I'm surprised it was discontinued a long time ago.
Usually, just prior to discontinuation, a scent shows up in bulk at discount chains down here at inexpensive prices. So far, that's happened several times in the last ten years with Bvlgari Black.

I think Bvlgari were very brave putting out Black as a unisex scent. Women shunned it down here, and I always found it a tad too feminine. Though that strategy does work for niche houses.

I think there's a good chance that it'll be placed into limited distribution like the Eau Parfumee au Thé line, but discontinued entirely? I don't think they really have sufficient reason to do away with it altogether. I'm sure it's still a decent seller thanks to its reputation among perfume fans.

Appreciated. Everyone who wants to get this marvel should definitely buy up all remaining stock ASAP. Ideally before Xmas.

This was one of my worst blind buys. I couldn't find it in any stores, so had to blind buy. I just get a rubber smell and goes into a weak vanilla skin scent.

Almost a full bottle left and will last a while as my toilet fresher.

Silly me. It's a unisex fragrance but now it's in the men's section on the website. For some reason. Oh those crazy Italians. I loaded up on backups today in any event. Thanks for the warning. Now I'm ready for anything. I'll sleep better tonight. Mille grazie.

I'm only cautious because the Bvlgari Black Discontinued threads have popped up a number of times in the last few years and have proven to be false every time so far. Also, sales assistants have a knack for handing out false information (trust me, I've been one for six years).

EDIT - Though I will say that discontinuations are extremely hard to keep track of, because different people within any company will give you different pieces of information. Even going back to 2011, Bvlgari gave NowSmellThis two conflicting statements; one claiming that it was discontinued, and another claiming that it wasn't.

Agree pal. I dont see why folks on here need to get snarky for no reason. I'm sure I've done it before myself - it's a reason some fragheads don't want to deal with basenotes forum.

It will just get less and less affordable over time. I'll probably buy a backup bottle. It's not my favorite scent but when I wear it I always find it really interesting.

I hardly ever wear it, but I don't feel they should discontinue it either. Designer fragrances are taking a hit lately, the new ones aren't very good and on top of that they're discontinuing the ones that are

Beats me why - given such a bottle has value either here or at Ebay, or that many people would appreciate it as a gift - one would use it as a toilet fresher?

Does it smell better in the toilet?
Or are you just into expensive toilet freshers?
Or is this a way of expressing odium towards the scent itself?

Well, discontinued or not at least I have an excuse to pick up a bottle. I've always liked Black but for one reason or another never got around to buying it. The rest of the Bulgari line could be dropped tomorrow and I couldn't care less, but Black is a good one. Love the bottle too.
