For me Réminiscence Patchouli cannot be topped.I have worn it at least once a week for the last 3 years.

Other fabulous ones are Lorenzo Villoresi's,
    HdP and Mazzolari's Patchouli.

I'm a big fan of patchouli & since this thread is intended for "pure patchouli", here are two that have stood out of late IMO:

Mon Patchouly comes closest to replicate the resinously warm & amber like feel to wearing patchouli oil.

Javanese Patchouli is an exotically arid & earthy interpretation of patchouli.

I have to second Bois 1920 Real Patchouly as the best ever. It isn't a pure patch as it is quiete ambery, but it has the booiest, intoxicating quality to it. Zegna Javanese Patchouli and Nassomato Hindu Grass are both alike, and both amazing if you are looking for a bit of a fresher patch. Chanel Coromandel is the prettiest and most well tempered of all the patch juices I ve tried. Montale Real Patch is much too heavy and harsh on my skin, much the same way the Parfumerie Generale Intrigant Patchouli is. Of the "non pure" patches, I'd have to say HdP 1840 is miles ahaead of anything in the genre.

Forgot to add Parfumerie Generale Coze, which being a patchouli centered scent, presents the note in such a different way that I completely overlooked it while thinking about patch frags. It is a dry chocolate, wood, and patchouli combo which is a dream come true for me. It is more of a meditative fragrance than any incense I own, and I love incense in a perfume.

I've discovered after trying dozens and dozens of patchoulis... I may be patchouli-racist on some level. They all smell alike to me. A the end of the day, while I enjoy Borneo 1834 a little more than raw patchouli oil, the difference in appreciation levels is fairly minimal and not worth the extra cost for a note that feels like a part of perfume rather than a perfume in itself.

I really enjoy the patchouli base notes in:
    - Voleur de Roses by L'Artisan
    - A*Men by Mugler

If oversprayed, both these fragrances "sour" at the top: VdR can smell like petrol and A*Men has it's famous tar note.
There are many other fragrances that seem to "sour" when oversprayed: Drakkar Noir, Gucci Nobile, etc

A Basenoter previously asserted that this was as a result of the way the patchouli was done in the fragrances.
I can't remember who he was, but in my experience, I think he was onto something.
If you get too much tar in A*Men, spray less and further from your nose... you may enjoy a very different experience?

Try Tabu from Dana. It's an absolute classic, first released in 1932.
It contains a whopping 40% patchouli which dominates, but there's also the most amazing, (haunting !) green note contained within this fragrance.
Some say the vintage stuff is superior, but I find the more recent production just as good. You'll find it for amazingly low prices on the net.
Karma from Lush/ Gorilla Perfumes is almost an exact copy of Tabu, so if you have a Lush store near you, you can try Karma.
RARE PERFUME DECANTS - FACEBOOK (closed group) - Hundreds of ultra rare extraits available, including Djedi and Nombre Noir.

Chanel's Coromandel is a good one as well, but it's basically diluted Indian patchouli absolute, adorned with a few extra notes.

I've discovered after trying dozens and dozens of patchoulis... They all smell alike to me.
I have to echo that sentiment. The only patch I really have found to be really unique is Lovely Patchouli Nights from Krigler. I have only sampled twice, to be fair. Cost keeps me from buying a bottle. Great stuff. Mind you, not to say I don't enjoy other patch-heavy scents, but if I buy one exclusively for patchouli, this will be it.
