    Default Need a Powerhouse

I'm looking for a powerhouse frag, something to get me noticed.

I've tried both A*Men and Le Male. Projection on both is alright for the first one to two hours, after that it is nearly a skin scent. Longevity is about three hours for Le Male, four to five for A*Men
I don't know if it's because of the reformulations or my skin, but I was very disappointed. I adore the scents of both, but coworker feedback tells me that they just can't smell it after that time unless they're right next to me, leaning in to catch the scent.

    Any suggestions?

Perhaps Guerlain Heritage or Zino Davidoff- only the latter is truly a powerhouse, but longevity and projection of either was always good judging by previous wearing experiences so far.

Sashka Black by M. Micallef probably has the most nuclear sillage I've experienced yet, though I've yet to plunge down the niche wormhole.

Oh, and of course there's Sex Panther by Odeon.

    Amouage - Reflection Man
Tom Ford - Tobacco Vanille (that will get you noticed!)

As much as I don't particularly care for A*men and Le Male, I find it hard to believe people couldn't notice them.

On a different note, do you really want to be projecting like a beast at work?

It sounds like you want your scent to be noticed and appreciated. So:

Creed - Original Santal. Check other threads regarding OS. Basenoters tend to thumb nose toward it, but it is a nuclear crowd pleaser. No doubt there. Just wear it for an hour before you go anywhere.

Also, Scent of Peace for Him by Bond no. 9 projects very well and again, is a crowd pleaser.

I am guessing that since you tried LeMale and Amen, you are not interested in expensive niche fragrances or Vintage versions of old powerhouses that always get recommended. So here you go:

Anything from Montale will do the trick , though I only adore Aoud & pine and I get a scent bubble for an extremely healthy 12+ hrs and this is considered one of the tamest in the Montale lineup. The other one would be Roja Dove "Amber Oud", oohh yeah almost forgot "Aventus" plus jubilation XXV are also candidates

Tom ford black orchid, Amouage lyric man, intulude man, Boadicea NEmer, complex, intricate the entire Profumum roma line which ever you like I tried them all. All these have lasted 48 hours or more on my skin without a shower. NEmer, amouage lyric, Acqua Zucchero, Volo, are beast. Easily 48 hours with just one spray. Truthfully It's a little annoying they last so long. I like to change up twice a day.

Wow. Most of these I've never heard of, and am pretty sure I have no chance of finding at the store. Maybe I should have stated I am shopping in the Canadian market.

Of the ones I am familiar with, and know are available are Sung Homme, Drakkar Noir and I think I saw Grey Flannel at our London Drugs. I'm not sure which Polo Green is, but I know I've seen the Ralph Lauren fragrances.

As some already mentioned, many of of the Montale's have crazy amount of sillage, like red aoud or full incense.. Also, amouage house is notable for their beastly performances. Couple of sprays of interlude or epic would suffice

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll just get Alfred Sung Sung Homme, since it's on a discount rack for $20.

I can't find any of the other scents mentioned.
What could I do to improve the projection and life of the two I have? There's no way I'd be able to get any vintage bottles of A*Men or Le Male.

im not a fan of A*men but am familiar with it and am also surprised it doesnt have good longevity/sillage on you

i have B*men and it has good longevity on me, im just assuming it would have been the same for A*men

le male i have and it doesnt last as long as i want it to.. but thats considering my skin disintegrates perfumes easily

    anyway:

    some simple ways:

    - more sprays
    - wait a while for your skin to settle to secrete natural moisture/oils instead of spraying on skin that has just been showered and toweled dry..
    - spray on your clothes
